Anecdotal, as all reviews are, but bought 6 of these (256GB version) about a year and a half ago and installed them in some Dell Optiplex PC's that were being donated to a local library. All of them are still working today. All disks can fail, which is why you should have multiple copies of your most valuable data.
You can check my post history. Nobody's paid me a dime, I just defend products that I really like and trash talk products I've had issues with. My trash talk lead to Red Pocket mobile refunding me a couple hundred dollars for a situation they did me wrong on, so I think it's important to let other slickdealers know about good and bad products on here. I.T. and home theater is my career and I have built and upgraded hundreds of systems, Teamgroup is my go to for bang for buck in most cases. If I had issues with their products, I'd be on here letting people know about it.
I've been through hundreds of Teamgroup SSDs in my builds for customers and personal use. I've replaced more Samsungs (and a surprising number of Sandisks) than Teamgroup SSDs.

It isn't worth the argument. The person you are replying to made it their life mission to always post the same bs on team group products. For someone who thinks this website is just a shill for companies I am surprised they keep visiting it which is giving the website ad revenue

With Windows 10 or 11 and how some of the hardware is locked down, how do you migrate from one ssd to another? Is there a good brand of an adaptor so you can clone the disk? Any recommended process or videos on the best way to do this? I just received the Acer deal that was posted a couple of weeks ago and may want to upgrade the 256 drive.
If you just received your Acer another option instead of cloning the disk is to install Windows 10 or Windows 11 as a fresh install on the new disc. This has the added benefit of eliminating some of the Acer preloaded programs you don't really need.

I hadn't even thought of that scenario. Thanks for the heads up.

Have you tried Macrium reflect or Acronics (spellings). They are good disk imaging softwares. Still might be free for personal use. I have used them a log with windows, windows server platforms, but not yet with 10 or 11.
Please let us know if it works. Thanks.

Nice price but waaaay too many recent verified user purchase reviews on NewEgg of failure within 2-6 months.

Granted negative reviewers are more likely to post reviews than those without issues....but so many in a short period of time is a big red flag.

Even though this will be a secondary drive in my laptop.....losing a storage drive is a pain in the ass no matter the computer.

I believe that I would need to purchase a copy of Windows 10 to do that or can you get a copy from Acer? The licensing keys in the machine details, are they accurate and I only need to copy the key information and do a reinstall?

My wife had a Lenovo that was baptized with Coke or Pepsi and fried. So I was hoping to salvage the disk as it is 500 or 750 GB instead of the 250 that came with the Acer. I need to pull it again and see what kind it is. I believe it is a M2, but do not know the format/shape.

Are people recommending this case or something else. I looked at the Sabrent that was recommended and there were a number of low rating.

This case refers the UGREEN M2 case currently being promoted on Slickdeals that I could potentially use to clone the drive..

I'm doing something similar;

Im replacing a HDD with a SSD in a HP laptop that came with windows 10. I'm not cloning but doing a fresh install on the SSD. AFAIK from researching, it seems the windows license is actually tied to the machine (in the bios or something).

So from my understanding and what I've read. I should be able to install the new SSD in the laptop and then install Windows directly from a USB.

I'll update once I get around to it, but it looks like you won't have to mess with the old drive if you just want a fresh windows on a new drive.

Some may recommend Rufus to make the bootable USB.. and both do have pros and cons but if you are beginner go with the Microsoft tool.

Bought one of these two months back and installed it in a 7 year old PC. These ones(MP33) are great for older PCs as they don't support the higher speeds. Was successfuly able to clone my previous sata ssd onto this and even resized the partition using gparted. Performance is good for the price and really brings an old pc back to life. I do only have 2 months of usage so can't comment on how reliable i is in the long run, but others have had good results
