It says the current price is $14.87 LOWER than the previous price.

I've never had a Cryo, but heard a lot of good things about it from those who do. List price of $68.99 is a joke. Blade steel is 8Cr13MoV, which Kershaw does a competent heat treat on in my experience. Buried in the Amazon ad specifications it says the country of origin is U.S., but this knife is absolutely made in China. 2.75" blade, framelock, SpeedSafe assisted opening, four position pocket clip, flipper tab and thumb studs, all-stainless build, solid little knife with very good reviews.

But the knife game is getting mighty competitive in the $30 range if you look at Ganzo, QSP, CRJB, and others.
The blackwash version is $28.18 for those who are interested.

"This item cannot be shipped to your selected delivery location. Please choose a different delivery location."

Amazon refuses to ship pocket knives to my state, but they allow to purchase throwing knives, which makes no sense.

I've carried this knife daily for years. It's great. The clip and the way it carries in the pocket is very nice.

Check out Opinel Knives as a serious contender. Most knife enthusiasts know of them as the go-to budget knife with the best blade quality. They are French, started up in 1890. They have sharp, long lasting, easy to maintain blades. Their only downside is a wooden handle with no clip. If you can get past that, you will not find a better blade for the price. I have had several over the past 5 years.
i was just thinking about Opinel today. my thought was "why are these so highly regarded?" and i think you answered it, blade quality. i have the no 8 or 9, whatever the common recommended folder is and i dont use it really ever but i have opinel carbone paring knife and it my favorite kitchen knife by far.

I have quite a few kershaws. This is their cheaper steel and worth 30 bucks at most. Not a slickdeal. that msrp is a joke.

I have had this for 6 years. It's a great knife. I sharpen it every couple months. Just a few swipes on the ceramic rod is enough. I keep this one at home to cut boxes and tapes. I carry the Kershaw Leek with me. Both are great knives.

Got this back in 2017 for $23. It's OK. It doesn't hold an edge that well, and requires frequent honing. Once honed, its very sharp. But it doesn't last that long.

I like Kershaw. I have a 3" version that looks very similar to this, it's my EDC. Mostly boxes and stuff. It does get dull, I've sharpened once and probably due for another over 6 years. I don't know this is worth more than $20 though, pretty sure I paid around that for mine.

And yeah these are made in China but what isn't these days.

I've had one of these for 6+ years. Not the best at holding an edge but great size and functionality for an EDC.

I have carried this knife daily for 7 or 8 years. A couple years ago I bought a backup just in case they stop making it or mine breaks. It fits perfectly in a watch pocket on a pair of jeans. I also have the Cryo II, but I prefer the smaller size of the Cryo. This isn't a great price, but I am contemplating buying another back up.

Any more specific recommendations for the $30 knives. I'd like something like the speedsafe assisted opening for quick one handed opening.
I'm a huge fan of the Ganzo Firebird knives in D2 tool steel at around $25 at PowerCutlery.com. They are manual opening, but the actions are so slick they snap open one handed with ease and a satisfying *SNICK*. The FH41 is a favorite of mine. I can't overstate how much knife it is for the money. D2 holds and edge well, hasn't stained on me yet, blade is drop shutty, perfectly centered, locks up well and has great jimping at the top of the blade for my thumb.

I've also been carrying my QSP Parrot a lot lately, and a Sencut Citius I picked up on sale. If you look at QSP, check out their Penguin also. The Ontario Rat 1 & Rat 2 are great knives around $30 in AUS8 stainless. They are manual opening, but the action is so nice they are very easy to snap open one handed.

There are so many and a lot of it is personal choice. You can't go wrong with an Ontario Rat I (3.5" blade) or it's little brother the Rat 2 (3" blade). I'm a fan of Ganzo Firebird line of knives with G10 scales and D2 blades. PowerCutlery.com has a good selection of various styles. They generally have very snappy manual actions that flip so well they feel like they are assisted.
