Polk is closing out the remainder of their Signature series and still have some
S60 models in black for $249 [polkaudio.com] (per speaker, black only) with free shipping. For a home theater configuration, the matching S35 center channel is still available for $149 (a total of $647 for a 3 channel system).

It is important to note that the S60 speakers reach down to 26Hz so a subwoofer is not required in most cases (I run the 3.0 configuration to fill a very large room with ease and I was once asked where my subwoofer is). Also, they are not to be compared with the ES60 model, which is essentially identical for $300 more (although I have yet to hear them).
The S35 center channel speaker does have a provision and paper template for wall mount configurations. All of the Polk Signature speakers run 8 ohms of impedance so you don't need a high-end receiver in order to run them.
The next best price is
Amazon ($449+tax) [amazon.com]. Most other outlets no longer have them in stock.

The S35 sounds fine now, but it's the only speaker I've owned that really needed a break-in period. It was rough for the first month or so. I'd also recommend going into your receiver settings and pushing your center a few DB higher than your mains, even above what the receiver calibration puts it at.
If you need a skinny center, you don't have a lot of options, and none of them are really any better than this. But if you have the room for a big center, you'll enjoy it a lot more.
it's not a myth that soft materials either harden or soften over time.
