Looked around and this was the cheapest price for 1 year of essential from a legit webiste. If you pay with paypal you can use discover card through september to get 5% off and also use topcash back to get 5.25 % cash back or 2.10 % depending if you are new or returning cdkeys customer.

Can I buy this as a new user and have it converted to PS Premium for 183 days? Without paying extra? I only want to use cloud gaming...

Good question, I think you need to have at least 1 month of PS premium activated first to get the 183 days. I'm in the same boat, no current activated sub.

I bought three years and then payment failed after that. So maybe there is a limit? I then converted to premium. It seems like they cap the price of premium upgrade to $150 after the first couple of years. So it would be cheaper to buy a bunch of years. Probably not the cheapest route and will most likely be cheaper in a couple months for Black Friday. But if you were looking for this info it cost me about 300$ total to have premium till April 2026. (120-ish for 3 more years of ps plus essential and 163 after tax to convert to premium) If you wanted more years than that you might have to buy the 12 months on different emails. Wish it was as cheap as Xbox's cloud gaming. I guess in the end I saved like 100$ plus tax. Dunno if that helps anyone.
