Love these, but it is amazing how many people never clean their washers and wonder why their clothes don't smell great,

My aunt had a nasty washer from never using these. Cleaned it up all nice for her, did two loads using one packet each, told her to use a packet once a month and her washer never smelled bad or was nasty ever again.

I use these or the Tide on my washer, whichever is on sale. That is just my two cents, others may disagree.

Did people's washing machine really smell? My washing machine is over 20 years and didn't smell at all, BTW, I leave the door open when not in use.

The quick answer is yes, why there are many reasons and theories. That definitely helps for sure and not letting wash sit in the washer for longer than a few minutes.
