I really wish this was a deep pocket carry clip - Not a fan of the top of the knife showing all the time.

There are aftermarket deep carry clips for these. May eat into deal on this though

Bad bad considering this was their pricing several years ago, but I'm curious if the price came down for the S30V variant.

i might just be too cheap to EDC a $55 knife. I'll stick with my $5 walmart knife for EDC
What are you saving the nicer knives for? IMHO a knife is a tool meant to be used, if there's significant risk of losing it I can see carrying a cheaper one, but a nicer knife is often more durable as well so I prefer to carry the better ones for daily use.

The tanto variant of this knife was my first quality folding knife and started a slippery slope. I've got a ZT 0350TS in my pocket at the moment, also coincidentally from Slickdeals.

This is my EDC... [amazon.com] it's actually my third exact one lol. Had one that DC TSA took so bought another. Then forgot again and DC TSA took it (they were annoyed) and have now had this one since 2017. Got it though from a deal here on SD when it was $30 years ago. Kershaw makes great knives imo.

I gave this deal a reluctant thumbs up. $55 seems like a lot for a Kershaw with a 3.4-inch 14C28N Sandvik Stainless Steel blade considering some of the stuff coming out of China in D2. But it's USA made which is going to be a big deal to some. If you carry on your right side you will probably want to reverse the pocket clip so it is tip up and against the outside seam of your right pocket for safety. Be careful with the screws as I've had them come loose or strip out on aluminum bodied knives. Use a proper torx driver and some threadlock if necessary.

I snagged one for $35 off Amazon back in 2017. The handle is very textured and scratchy. Not the most comfortable, but it's an overall good knife. A deep-carry clip would've been nice.

I don't think I'd grab one for $55 though.

This and the cold steel AD-15 are my go to edc's. I also recommend the leek if you like a smaller form factor.

I use this as my daily work knife. I use it for things like cutting insulation, foam, tape on boxes, etc. Very happy with how the blade has kept a sharp edge. The assisted opening still works great.

I really do enjoy this knife allot. Actions great, dependable users knife, and despite the steel quality not being the best it takes an edge super easy and keeps it longer then I expected. However, I do take issue with a couple things. The thumb studs are so sharp and course you're going to destroy your thumbnail trying to flick it open or tear your thumb pad up trying to open it regularly( if u have soft hands). And the trac Tec is pretty rough on the old pants pocket. But if u have callased hands and work pants you don't mind roughing up you should be fine.
