I have both of these, the Mandalorian version never triggers "fast wireless charging" mode on my phone (S22 Ultra and previous Note20 Ultra). The Falcon does every time though. Using the included cable and charging block they came with.
People with MagSafe?
I mean, I agree the question about magsafe compatibility was.... well stupid.
AFAIK there are ZERO third party magsafe chargers that are also officially licensed to some other IP (Star Wars, TMNT, Playboy, MadeUpStudio, etc).
And it should generally just be obvious at this point, that all Qi certified chargers will work with any device as its literally the open standard.
All that being said... Magsafe is really nice. I never set my phone down on a Qi pad anymore if theres a Magsafe version of a charger available (like in my house where I have a half dozen of the OG Samsung hockey puck wireless chargers in a drawer now... just in case?)
It's literally a tiny innovation that makes wireless charging feel snazzy.

This thing sticking off the back of your phone while charging seems like the most uncomfortable thing ever. Even slim/light magsafe chargers have issues holding solid in my experience
It's amazing that apple users need a system to set their phones on a Qi pad.

I liked the Touchstone charging feature on my Palm Pre that was released back in 2009. Magsafe is not quite the new innovation people might think. Even iOS eventually borrowed a lot from PalmOS. I wish HP never killed Palm...

Yeah I actually owned a couple of the HP Touchpads with their big wireless charging docks. Man haven't thought about that in a while... Wasn't it some ridiculous firesale for those when they canned whatever the OS was called?
I agree that Magsafe isn't something wildly inventive and Apple is incredibly good at creating a problem and then selling you a solution for it (Hey everyone we're removing headphone ports! Here's a dongle adapter to use them in the charging port. 1 year later... Hey everyone Airpods! Same with removing ports on laptops and bringing them back, etc.).
That being said, it's simply better than just a basic Qi pad. The magnets insure you make a proper alignment everytime. Why hasn't Samsung copied it yet? Lord knows Apple needs to steal the underscreen fingerprint reader.
Point is, I could care less about the brand. Just the better implementation. And Magsafe trumps basic Qi pads and I can't blame anyone for seeking out wireless charging media that incorporate it.
