Great prices on these monitors. The 25" 1440p has a great pixel density and looks really sharp. Compraable to the asus proart monitors.

There are hacky "workarounds" to this, like using BetterDisplay to fake a HiDPI resolution, but they still won't look as good as a panel that scales cleanly. And all the tricks to force RGB no longer work.
Buy this at your own peril if you own a Mac, but don't go around pretending like you know what you're talking about because you play video games at 1440p and think that it's the universal holy grail of resolutions.

Regarding testing, I have used the smaller one with M1 through USB C, and I didn't encounter any issues.
Re price on U2520D - price actually went up relative to yesterday (on Dell's site). It was in the low 200s, so cheap that I contemplated buying another one despite just ordering multiple U2723QEs.

Almost any of the ultrasharp monitors @ 4k will be fine though i'd stay away from the USB-C versions. Not sure why, don't have much time in the seat troubleshooting, but i'm guessing it has to do with usb-c vs. thunderbolt.
I prefer HDMI too for these since DisplayLink software is required to get the full power out of DisplayPort connections. I have used several thunderbolt 3 to dual HDMI dongles for desktop use and they've worked fine for almost 5 years now (1 year with an m1 pro).
I've been looking at an U2722 but I just don't feel like dropping that with my own cash.
This one is different than other ultrawides in that it has a full usb hub built in with high power delivery, significant number of inputs, and ethernet. Also color calibration is better than LG ultrawides. This is a good deal for what it is
Also the lg monitors don't offer nearly the connections this one does since my graphics card does not have hdmi
pixel density of 109 is not bad. 27" 1440p is usable, but 25" 1440p is about as sharp as you would ever need for most purposes. A good sweet spot.
24" 1080p is a popular size at around 93 ppi, even 109 is an upgrade

I believe the 2518D lowest price was around $250. These have never gone lower than that for the 1440p monitors
