I use to love Wyze back in the day. They now make you sign up for a fake subscription, for $0 for now to see events. I say this because its confusing what you need to do for the first timer.

For a cheap camera for rtsp, probably ok. V3 has pretty good low light video but movement makes the video pixely. Cool sky shot, bird cam, etc camera though as you can run a few days on usb power pack.

I agree but I would still argue you are getting the best bang for your buck with Wyze. I've run the gamut of low end cams and I feel like Wyze is definitely the best. They are all scummy and try and get you to sign up for shit but the actual Wyze tech is at least good.

Yea new is 30$ used 20$ I'll wait for Black Friday or similar, I've got about a dozen already so I don't think I really need another one just because but if the price is right and it's new I might or if they bundle subscription with the purchase price that's also an option..

Not out of the box. You have to flash with different firmware. It's still supplied by Wyze but considered beta.

AFAIK, they removed the link to the rtsp firmware from their site

Anyone here ever successfully save a bricked Wyze Cam? Flashing the official firmware does nothing. I have eleven Wyze cams (mix of pan cams and v2's) that are useless with the flashing yellow light. Never have found any good methods for getting them to work again.

They did. You can still find it if you dig around a bit on their forums.

And now it's showing $21.99. So there must be some demand pricing going on with the traffic from Slickdeals.
