Title says 4K, spec says:

Screen Resolution: 1080p

Native screen refresh rate: 60 Hz

Pretty sure that's just a misprint since the product title says UHD, the description says 4k, the images say 4k and the TV is a Target exclusive rebadge of the S435 which is a 4k TV.

It was on clearance for about similar price point. I use it as PC monitor. If you will be editing video or photo then no this is not for you. If your main purpose is text editing or watching video then this is perfect

I don't think this is true, I have a 65 " roku tcl and no credit card is required to use the tv.
roku is free, if you want to add other apps (showtime, disney, etc) you need credit card.... We cut cable and love Roku's (have 4)..... Get fubotv and acorn or britbox..... Amazing the variety available...

I just installed my 85 inch TCL along with 3 others we had previously. I have no credit card on file.

It is... Quite good, especially for the price
I use this as a computer monitor. Works fine if you are ok with 60fps, which I am since I don't game professionally. 3090 at 4k with maxed out graphics on everything look good when the screen is a couple feet away away. Takes up your entire vision.

Where did you find this deal? I can't find anything online that this TV is part of Target Deal Days. I'd wait and see what the price is before buying this now!

good for use as a computer monitor?
I used the s435 for almost a year as a PC monitor. Worked pretty well. 43" is a good size. I remember writing a detailed post before so feel free to check my post history if you want more details.

I ultimately got a 50" Samsung qn90 that i use as a monitor now. At first 50" seemed to big but I've gotten used to it and that size functions better as a bedroom tv too.

How exactly do you replicate this deal? The link goes to 349$ listing for this TV, I can't find it for less then $219 on target.com. Where is the announcement for the 149$ price?

Anyone gone from the older 49 inch TCL to a 43 inch? Is the difference in size noticeable? I have been looking for a 50 inch, but this seems like a good price. Just don't know if the 6 inch difference would bother me.
You'd lose about 23% of your viewing area. For comparison:

I've been using one of these as a computer monitor for about 3 or 4 years and it's been great. I tried to replace it with a 50" 4k model but it was silly big for a desktop.

One thing I just discovered today (as a result of this posting) is that there is a free Roku remote control app. As it works over wi-fi you don't need line of site to the TV's IR receiver. Also accepts voice commands. So this is ideal for me as the TV is sitting directly on my desk without the stands, wedged into the corner where 2 walls meet. You would think it would topple over but it's actually very secure.

I bought a second one for pickup on Thursday.

Just remember this is a ROKU TV - means you need to sign up with ROKU (If you dont have account) and need to provide a Credit Card Number BEFORE you can use this TV
When you create your Roku account and get to the screen asking for a CC number just scroll to the bottom and click on Skip Step. Entering a card is optional when creating an account.

The best dirt cheap tv you can buy. Look at TCL 6 and Hisense U8H for best under $700. Likely to be on sale somewhere before or after black friday for $500 - $600.

Wouldnt buy TCL series up to 5 for games. Locked at 60hz.

Might be able to snag a C1 or C2 for $800 in the coming months, if you want the best tv at the cheapest price.

Orrrr you could buy an actual computer monitor not a television. Why are people trying to use this as a computer monitor? As someone mentioned, might not even be 4K. And pretty meh price this close to Black Friday.
It all depends on your needs and budget, if you can find 43inch 4k monitor for price around $100 range please pm meSmilie

The problem is 4K monitors are more expensive than this $150 4K TV.

As far as I know, only LG IPS panels had fake 4K since they used a RGBW pixel structure. I believe LG no longer sells IPS panels that use a RGBW pixel structure anymore.

Got the first TCL 4 series back tin 2020 to use as a budget PC monitor, general office work and nothing where color accuracy or 60 FPS was a dealbreaker. Has been great for spreadsheets, Teams, Zoom, etc. Liked it so much that I got another one for more than this deal. Both support 4:4:4 chroma so text is as sharp as it can be and 60 FPS is just fine for office productivity, fills up my desk pretty well but it's not so big that it creates eye or neck strain sitting 2 ft away from it. This is a great deal but alas I don't need more of them short of buying it as a backup unit.
