Not sure what's with the weird intel bias in this thread. The reputable reviewers are not recommending the new Intel cards over what AMD is offering in the same price bracket:

Best to wait until AMD announces their new cards, but it will likely be cards in the $500+ range with lower range cards coming later.

I think it is the sour grapes from getting price gouged for years by Nvidia and AMD. A third party is definitely needed.

I'd agree though, the reviews don't look great until the software gets better. Although I was surprised and curious as to why Gamers Nexus completely ignored ray tracing in it's review.

GN Ignored it for one of 3 reasons, Time crunch is more then likely it. Two, most games that people actually play still dont have RT or at least a good enough reason to turn it on for more then a quick "Oh this looks nice" before checking the tanked performance, and Poll after poll has shown people simply do not care for RT at the cost of performance, some games it can make it look much nicer, but you also have to use DLSS or the new XESS, which kind of defeats the purpose of RT imo.

Ray tracing is still two Generations away from native performance being properly viable without needing DLSS on NVidia, and Probably 3 Gens away on AMD. Intels RT stuff does look really promising, but the overall performance of these GPUS was such a let down i dont expect it to really make progress. The ARC 770 was supposed to be better then the 3070, yet it falls short of the 3060 or ties it. Its at least a start, but they have a lot to learn and get ready before they actually get any market share.

End of the day i want these products to succeed, more competition means better for us, but i refuse to be a beta tester for software and hardware when im paying full price for it when i can just buy one of the competitors products at the same or cheaper price (especially used since these cards are 1-2 years old now) with much more mature drivers and software, and support for older games that isnt broken.
