Getting a Google gift card is like getting a gift card to Dollar Tree. You'd have to try really really hard to find something worth buying.

This is great and it seems you can trade in any time without buying new phone. Thanks

Looks like the google store has the same deal, 200 gift card towards their store. I put in my pixel 3 (with a cracked screen) as a trade-in and it's showing a $244 dollar credit. Seems like a no brainer for me here since I can use that towards the pixel buds pro or the new pixel watch.
Google store, Best Buy and amazon has the same 'gift cards' deal. I buy from Amazon the most and that fits my bill the best.

Thanks, but went with Google

4% CB + 5% Discover CC - Google Pay + 10% Store Credit for Google 1 Membership and Store Credit that was still in my account from Pixel 6 purchase last year.

In all Google is paying me to use Pixel 7.

Thanks

everything you own/use today cost some money, think of it as a lease(when in reality is depreciation). You could upgrade the phone, trade in your P6 and in reality it wouldnt cost anything more than keeping P6.

Eg. (simplifying tax, gc, and other stuff)
p6 at launch $599
p6 trade in $440
=$160 /12 month = $15 / month to use P6

get P7 $599
p7 trade in on P8 =$440 (assumption)
=$160 /12 month = $15 / month to use P7

or

p6 at launch $599
p6 trade in $320 on P8 (conservative assumption)
=$280 /12 month = $23 / month to use P6 for 2 years

so..you are better of trading up
hard data like this always helps. thanks

Your last calculation is wrong, you used the P6 for 24 months at that point, i.e. $280 / 24 months = $11.67 / month for 2 years. So it's cheaper to wait, but on the other hand for only $3-4 more per month you can enjoy the P7 instead of the P6 ($15 / month for P7 and $11.67 for P6).

Does anyone know if Google Store will do a Black Friday deal? Wondering If Pixel 7 or 7 Pro go lower on BF?
They will probably offer a straight up discount on the price of the device, but probably less than the $100/$200 future credit that they are offering now. The trade-in numbers will also probably be a lot lower so while the price of the device will be lower, you get no credit and trade-in values will be lower.

There most certainly is an option and they're paying pretty well. Just traded in my 2 year old OnePlus for the same price that I bought it for. Unfortunately they would not accept their own Pixel 6a, no idea why....

I don't know how I can believe people with issues on their P6. I have a P6P and no apps crash (I have more freezes on my iPad pro, which aren't a lot either). It never restarts. The P7 looks interesting but trade in value is terrible for a one year old P6P so I'll probably hold off.

On screen fingerprint scanner is trash compared to rear sensor.

It's used all the time and is annoying.

Software updates have made some improvements, but it's still a big step backwards
