Trade in values for Pixel 6 series towards Pixel 7 Series
Pixel 6 128 GB - $440
Pixel 6 Pro 128GB - $480
These values are not great particularly for Pro, compared to what Samsung offers to their previous gen.

Pixel 6 pro should have at least get $600 trade in value.

Anyone see that the $200 is one per customer? What if I always order two phones for my spouse and I? We only get one $200 credit?

So I've selected trade-in for a Galaxy S9 (64GB), but when I go to checkout, it shows the 256GB model with no way to select the 64GB model. I'm guessing they only take the 256GB model. Anyone have any experience with a similar situation?

Edit: CS rep confirmed they no longer take the 64GB version

I ordered and going through the trade-in questions looked at my screen- "no cracks", got quoted $250 for Pixel 3 128gb which is probably higher than I could get anywhere else.

Then got the trade-in email and it stated "no cracks" in the summary about phone condition and I decided I better double-check my phone back out of the case, since it's been living in a case since I purchased it and it didn't say "no screen cracks". OOPS- big crack in the glass on the back!

Had to cancel my order and trade-in and went back through the process, this time setting up the trade-in for powers on and unlocked but has cracks. Still got $246 offer which is WAY higher than I'd expect for a phone with a crack across the back. Hopefully they stick to their end of the deal. For the $4 difference, might be better to list the phone as having cracks even if it doesn't, just in case something happens in shipping or you drop it in the next week.

If you are purchasing from the Google store you can sign up for a $10 a month Google 1 plan here and get 10 percent back. so basically either $60 or $90 depending on the phone. Google store seems to be a better deal for me even though I am on Google Fi as they are offering more money back for my S21 plus the $100 credit. Plus if I go with the 7 I will get another $60. basically will end up with $640 after the Google 1 purchase on a $600 phone.

So even as a Google Fi user seems best to use the Google Store instead of the Fi Store.

If anyone is planning up for signing up for Google Fi referral links after a month service give both people $20. So people could save another $20 that way as well if they are joining Google Fi.

Here is the Google 1 link to plans. $10 a month plan is required for the 10 percent back.

How long does it take to get the 10 percent discount? Is it a code?

I signed up and then checked out for my phone purchase and it showed up on the checkout screen. The actual cashback says it will show up after 30 days I believe. Which I think is the same as the $100 Google Store credit more or less.

The 10 percent is good for any purchases on the Google store so if you added a watch or Google buds etc it would also give you the 10 percent on those I believe.

Is the AMEX Plat worth the purchase protection and extended warranty vs. Citi Costco CC with 2 additional years of warranty? It has saved me on numerous Pixels where things like the camera stopped working or the battery sucked or other things. AMEX Plat phone bill cell protection is great for like damage. One thing I am losing is purchase protection but hard to prove that if you get additional freebies like the 200 credit.
It's not the best, just the best I have in wallet. I think the warranty only adds 1 yr. Reimbursement is up to $10K though. Not sure about the 200 credit, that would probably be taken out of a purchase protection claim (but warranty should cover up to full replacement value, if I were to guess).

So does Amex cover $979? I thought they would cover up to the difference, that is price-trade-in. I think one would need to submit receipts
Good question - The policy reads whatever was charged to the card, so depending on how the trade-in appears on the statement it may or may not be included. Since the full amount is charged upfront and the trade-in is later refunded, I think it could go either way. Hope I don't have to use it!

double checked with my citi costco and i get purchase protection so its the better choice for th extra 24 months of warranty

it shows up as a google store credit. the card you use wont know what they credited so your cost is still the cost on the receipt

I have never had a Google trade in work like that and I have traded in a phone 5 years in a row. Plus twice this year without issue. Each time the trade in of the phone was credited back to whatever method I used to make the purchase.

To be fair, nothing really beats Samsung sales and promotions. They literally just give away a bunch of free stuffs along with the phone trade in being extremely high.

I do wish competitors like Apple and Google also did crazy promotions but that rarely happens. The 6a had some really good deals though.

It's 30 days after the phone ships. So it's actually $20 since you will have to pay two month.

It's still not bad if you don't mind store credit though.
