Okay, I figured out how to find out which trade-in box corresponds to which order.

1. Go to the "Order Details" page for your order on bestbuy.com. This page likely says "Shipping Kit on its way" for the trade in status.
2. Open Developer Console in Chrome. Navigate to the "Networks" tab and reload the page.
3. Search for "trade" in the search box.
4. You should see 3 results - the third begins with "2002..." for me. Click on this one.
5. Click on "tradeInStatusInfo" -> "fulfillment" -> "tracking".

You will see the tracking number of the return shipping UPS label. You should also see a "isBoxShipped" field that likely reflects if your trade-in kit has shipped yet.

Best Buy trade-in process has not changed since iPhone 13 trade-in deal last summer, so all these following tips still apply to this Pixel trade-in. This is for in-store trade-in, I have not done mail in trades with Best Buy.

The trade in process of crediting back after seems new on Best Buy versus being able to pay the difference upfront as before. Does anyone knows what happens to the trade in credit received towards Pixel 7/7 Pro if you decide to return the phone? Would you get to keep the refunded amount that is already credited back once initially picked up?

IMO, I would not go for this deal if trading in a P6 Pro since the TIVs are $545 for a P6P and $485 for a P6 (difference of $60). The price difference at purchase for these phones is $200 so there's a fair bit of loss exchanging a P6P to BB ($140).

As a long time iPhone user, I bought my first Google phone with a Pixel 6 as part of the $200 Best Buy promo a few days ago, and also got a Samsung S22 as part of the flip3 trade in promo a few weeks back. I'll probably be flamed for this but neither of them look or feel anything like a nearly-flagship phone. I would probably trade your phone in, sell the pixel 7, and then buy a new iPhone 13 mini.

Honestly the pricing on Android flagships seems completely arbitrary. The Pixel 6/6a are definitely worth $200, but nowhere near the non-sale asking price of $450-$600.
It's my impression too that 599 for a pixel is quite silly. My main concern is that reviews here for the pixel 6 are not great but my main impulse to trade is my iPhone 12 mini battery at 45% at 1pm!

Is the BestBuy trade-in done in the store for instant refund or do you have to ship it and then wait for their evaluation?

Anyone here with a Pixel 6 and NOT thinking about pulling the trigger on this deal? It seems almost too good to be true and I'm looking for the opposing opinion. The Pixel 7 just seems like a slightly faster Pixel 6, nothing really new. But for basically $50, it still seems like a great deal.
I'm definitely trading in my Pixel 6 for a Pixel 7 (both non-PRO).

I hope the 7 will take care of 2 issues with my Pixel 6 I disliked enough to switch back to using my Pixel 5A. The Pixel 6 is just too big/heavy. The 7 appears nearly identical to the 5A - very good. I also hated the front fingerprint sensor. The 7 is adding face unlock which should hopefully eliminate that aggravation.

For a net cost of about $70 after trade-in and BB gift card, it seems like a low cost gamble on a phone that is [hopefully] improved from its predecessor.

I'd also note that I never had any signal issues, overheating, or battery issues with my Pixel 6, just didn't like its size and front fingerprint sensor.

traded in my totalwireless iphone 11 (paid 150) for 490. With 100 GC and 5%Paypal/Chase cashback this seems like a good deal overall for a pixel 7.
Plus in-store trade-in so I can return right at the store if there are any issues

Android manufacturers just don't have pricing power.

With the recent trade-in deals the samsung flagships - s22 ultra and fold 4 can be had for around 30-35 percent of retail price. These are released less than 7-8 months ago.

A lot of folks taking advantage of this deal are swapping a Pixel 6 for Pixel 7 hoping it will have less hardware issues.

I've had Pixel 6 since launch and have been super disappointed and annoyed with it. Think the 7 is worth it?

Might go for it just to get rid of this phone and if it sucks at least it will have better trade in value next time.
this was exactly my logic. I hate my pixel 6. so buggy. not face unlock. reception sucks.

if the 7 is the same I will abandon pixel altogether. fingers crossed.

Is it worth upgrading from Pixel 6 Pro? Is the 7 pro worth it? Would you get it now or wait for a better deal?

The 7 Pro makes more sense Vs the regular 7. But, it just may be worth it for ( wishful thinking maybe lol ) an improved fingerprint sensor, better RF, and generally improved stability.
pro is way too big. traded the 6 for the 7 and thats the closest logical move.

Also with previous Best Buy offers the tax was charged after deducting the trade in value. Now the Tax is on the full msrp.
