Trade-in value notes:
- In states CA (please add more), tax is charged on (price - TIV_promo).
- In states NJ, NY, tax is charged on (price - TIV_promo - TIV_normal).
- NJ: When I did an in-store pickup of an online-order, tax was automatically calculated on (price - TIV_promo - TIV_normal). But when I did an in-store purchasing today, tax was calculated on (price - TIV_promo). According to the representative, this is because TIV_normal is processes as a GC and it has to be applied after the checkout, so the tax is charged on that part. Don't know if this is all true to CA or other states.

- I've done in-store trade-ins a few times at Best Buy. They only do a cursory look at the phone, to make sure it matches the color and condition. They don't care if it is carrier locked or is still being financed. -RonaldM

1. Go to the "Order Details" page for your order on bestbuy.com. This page likely says "Shipping Kit on its way" for the trade in status.
2. Open Developer Console in Chrome. Navigate to the "Networks" tab and reload the page.
3. Search for "trade" in the search box.
4. You should see 3 results - the third begins with "2002..." for me. Click on this one.
5. Click on "tradeInStatusInfo" -> "fulfillment" -> "tracking".
You will see the tracking number of the return shipping UPS label. You should also see a "isBoxShipped" field that likely reflects if your trade-in kit has shipped yet.

My out-the-door price that I paid previously for P6P is $622 (including tax).
Pixel 7 $599 + tax
Trade in Pixel 6 Pro value -$545
Best Buy gift card - $100
Net -$46 + tax
My P6P is a nice phone but I really want a 'smaller' and less heavy phone with a flat-screen instead of a curved screen.
I don't use the zoom camera feature on my P6P phone during the time I own it.

Use your savings to pick up a used Pixel (prior to Pixel 5) to allow unlimited google cloud photo backup.
I own the original Pixel 1.
All that I need to do is transfer all my photos and videos quarterly/monthly from the DCIM/ camera folder on my P6P folder to my original Pixel 1 DCIM/Camera folder using the usb-c cable on my laptop as the middle man.
Once all the photos and videos have been backed up into the Google cloud storage on Pixel 1....clear and release the storage on the Pixel 1.
No need to pay for the Google One subscription which can cost hundred of dollars over time .
The speed definiately goes to the s22, google only upgraded the medium cores so its not getting any faster than the pixel 6, which I had along with the s22 and the s22 is a faster phone. At best it will be more efficient when stuff is put on the medium cores.
You can remove anything you think is bloat on the s22 so its a non issue.
The camera on the pixel 6 is super inconsistent and the selfie camera is just straight up garbage so unless they fixed all those issues i definitely wouldn't give it to google yet.
The new modem better be way better than the old one because the last one was garbage.
The pixel 6 was a bug ridden experience, doesn't matter if the camera is faster if you have to take 3 shots to get a good picture. Doesn't matter if it has less bloat if it can't hold a cell signal. The pixel 7 has a lot to prove before i'll buy one.
Check recent comparisons pixel 7 is smoother.

- i want a good experience out of the box. Don't want to hack the phone, instal custom roms etc. Don't want Samsung asking me which app to use when I want to make a phone call. It's all a PITA
