Okay, I figured out how to find out which trade-in box corresponds to which order.

1. Go to the "Order Details" page for your order on bestbuy.com. This page likely says "Shipping Kit on its way" for the trade in status.
2. Open Developer Console in Chrome. Navigate to the "Networks" tab and reload the page.
3. Search for "trade" in the search box.
4. You should see 3 results - the third begins with "2002..." for me. Click on this one.
5. Click on "tradeInStatusInfo" -> "fulfillment" -> "tracking".

You will see the tracking number of the return shipping UPS label. You should also see a "isBoxShipped" field that likely reflects if your trade-in kit has shipped yet.

Best Buy trade-in process has not changed since iPhone 13 trade-in deal last summer, so all these following tips still apply to this Pixel trade-in. This is for in-store trade-in, I have not done mail in trades with Best Buy.

Did anyone chat with BB about potential 6a trade-in value on the P7? I saw one guy had BB quote him pretty high for the 5a despite it not being listed, maybe the 6a is also secretly accepted in-store?

If we return the phone unopened, does BB just cancel the GC or will they charge me $100 in lieu of the GC?

What happens if I preorder for pickup but never pick up the phone? Do they just cancel everything after 5 days? Thinking of waiting for some reviews.

Taking this opportunity to upgrade/downgrade my phone from Pixel 6 Pro to Pixel 7.(non pro version).
My out-the-door price that I paid previously for P6P is $622 (including tax).
Pixel 7 $599 + tax
Trade in Pixel 6 Pro value -$545
Best Buy gift card - $100
Net -$46 + tax

My P6P is a nice phone but I really want a 'smaller' and less heavy phone with a flat-screen instead of a curved screen.
I don't use the zoom camera feature on my P6P phone during the time I own it.

Wondering if I should get 7 or 7 pro. I have 6 now. I need a good camera but not sure how important that 3rd camera on pro is.

5-7 days, but yes. When your order is ready for pickup, they will send you an email confirmation that will include details about what happens if you don't pick up the order.

I was in the same boat. Could not validate the price and coming from a s22 ultra , I am bit tired of having a huge phone so I went with a reg pixel 7.

I'm in the same boat. I had the S22Ultra, hated it (too big, stutters, camera not as impressive as I hoped, poor battery, etc) so then I decided I'd take a shot at the regular S22. I know they are essentially the same phone with the regular S22 being inferior specs-wise, but I like the smaller size. Anyway, the S22 has been fine but I really miss my old pixels. I had every nexus and pixel up to the Pixel 3, then switched to samsung. I'd rather get pixel, but it seems they always have big problems these days. I preordered the 7 and I'll watch some reviews before deciding.
For what it's worth, I've had no major issues with my Pixel 6. Cellular reception is great, battery easily lasts all day, no overheating issues (although I don't play many graphics intensive games), screen quality is fine to my eyes. The only complaint I have is the fingerprint reader only works about 25% of the time. I just use pattern unlock. My girlfriend has an S22 and while she loves all of the Samsung tweaks to Android, I prefer a more stock experience. If you miss your pixel, I'd say go for the 7. Assuming they fixed the fingerprint reader and/or face unlock works..

Just go with Pixel 7 bro. I own the P6P. I prefer a flat screen and 'smaller'/less heavy phone now after owning P6P . The 3rd camera is of no use to my personal use e.g. I just use the point and shoot my picture most of the time. Hardly use the zoom feature at all.

Use your savings to pick up a used Pixel (prior to Pixel 5) to allow unlimited google cloud photo backup.
I own the original Pixel 1.
All that I need to do is transfer all my photos and videos quarterly/monthly from the DCIM/ camera folder on my P6P folder to my original Pixel 1 DCIM/Camera folder using the usb-c cable on my laptop as the middle man.
Once all the photos and videos have been backed up into the Google cloud storage on Pixel 1....clear and release the storage on the Pixel 1.

No need to pay for the Google One subscription which can cost hundred of dollars over time .

I just received my RMA label from Google for my Pixel 6. It was still over heating and being super janky. I told them I won't be sending it back and waiting 2 weeks for a refurbished phone. This is a smoking deal for me. I paid $455 for my Pixel 6 just a few months ago. Now I get a new upgraded phone that's hopefully less janky, and a gift card!

You're not really giving an unbiased comparison.

The speed definiately goes to the s22, google only upgraded the medium cores so its not getting any faster than the pixel 6, which I had along with the s22 and the s22 is a faster phone. At best it will be more efficient when stuff is put on the medium cores.

You can remove anything you think is bloat on the s22 so its a non issue.

The camera on the pixel 6 is super inconsistent and the selfie camera is just straight up garbage so unless they fixed all those issues i definitely wouldn't give it to google yet.

The new modem better be way better than the old one because the last one was garbage.

The pixel 6 was a bug ridden experience, doesn't matter if the camera is faster if you have to take 3 shots to get a good picture. Doesn't matter if it has less bloat if it can't hold a cell signal. The pixel 7 has a lot to prove before i'll buy one.

Check recent comparisons pixel 7 is smoother.

- i want a good experience out of the box. Don't want to hack the phone, instal custom roms etc. Don't want Samsung asking me which app to use when I want to make a phone call. It's all a PITA

Well, it's only showing me $295 trade in for my Verizon Pixel 6 Pro 256GB... So, that's incredibly frustrating...
