- The $100 gift card is now included with the Pixel 7 in Snow, as of October 11.

Trade-in value notes:
- In states CA (please add more), tax is charged on (price - TIV_promo).
- In states NJ, NY, tax is charged on (price - TIV_promo - TIV_normal).
- NJ: When I did an in-store pickup of an online-order, tax was automatically calculated on (price - TIV_promo - TIV_normal). But when I did an in-store purchasing today, tax was calculated on (price - TIV_promo). According to the representative, this is because TIV_normal is processes as a GC and it has to be applied after the checkout, so the tax is charged on that part. Don't know if this is all true to CA or other states.

- I've done in-store trade-ins a few times at Best Buy. They only do a cursory look at the phone, to make sure it matches the color and condition. They don't care if it is carrier locked or is still being financed. -RonaldM

1. Go to the "Order Details" page for your order on bestbuy.com. This page likely says "Shipping Kit on its way" for the trade in status.
2. Open Developer Console in Chrome. Navigate to the "Networks" tab and reload the page.
3. Search for "trade" in the search box.
4. You should see 3 results - the third begins with "2002..." for me. Click on this one.
5. Click on "tradeInStatusInfo" -> "fulfillment" -> "tracking".
You will see the tracking number of the return shipping UPS label. You should also see a "isBoxShipped" field that likely reflects if your trade-in kit has shipped yet.

The UNLOCKED Pixel 7 or Pro does not work with Total Wireless, Visible or any third party using Verizon towers...the UNLOCKED version will work if you are on Verizon directly..this has been reported to Google and no one know if this will be fixed
Also the egift card can not be used to purchase another phone, at least you do not have that option online when you try to purchase another phone
Will update in case there's an issue at pickup with refund.
Edit: Image grab showing my cancellation of a previous order refunding at $599 and the new order at $399.

How did Best But apply your discounts and charge tax?
How were your cards charged after picking up your phones? Should I expect to see the $127 on Monday morning?

My trade in value is $425
Phone price - $299
Tax - $13.49
Trade in adjustment - (-125.00)
Order Total - $187.49
I am expecting my credit card should show correct refund in couple of days as per above figures.
I saved order receipt from Bestbuy.com just in case..
worth it?
- Hardware feel is about the same, although the camera is faster on the Pixel. I am not a gamer so don't know about gaming speeds
- Wifi connectivity seems to be better on the Pixel. Haven't made enough cell calls to judge
- Samsung UI has much more customization features. I had to install Nova Launcher on the Pixel to gain back customization such as removing the Google Search bar (which PIxel does not let you move/remove) and putting more icons on your home pages
- I do miss Samsung's ability to have the Always on Display only activate if there is a new notification
- Samsung's phone app has Hiya built in which I found handy
I mainly upgraded since they offered $380 for the S20 FE trade-in. The P7 has 3 years of OS upgrades from Android 13 while the S20 FE was going to end at Android 13. It really comes down to if you love the Samsung software customizations or not.- Hardware feel is about the same, although the camera is faster on the Pixel. It really comes down to if you love the Samsung software customizations or not.but the S20 FE wasn't really top of the line when it came out, and even when it did, it was plagued with minor issues (do you recall the touch screen sensitivity issue?)
I'd want to upgrade for the same reasons as you, more software updates and high trade in, but it seems like googles native launcher is starting to move in the opposite direction of what android manufacturers have been doing
Is the camera quality better? faster? especially at night?
night mode on the S20 FE is great but super slow, this, combined w/ the slow camera app makes it a hassle to use in low light for quick snaps
I could use $300 gift card to order it.
Thanks,
Initially charged amount -> 649USD including tax
Tradein Value -> 480 USD
Final amount -> 128 USD including tax
Considering we are getting a 100GC as well, 28$ for upgrade to pixel 7 is indeed a slick deal.
