- I've done in-store trade-ins a few times at Best Buy. They only do a cursory look at the phone, to make sure it matches the color and condition. They don't care if it is carrier locked or is still being financed. -RonaldM

1. Go to the "Order Details" page for your order on bestbuy.com. This page likely says "Shipping Kit on its way" for the trade in status.
2. Open Developer Console in Chrome. Navigate to the "Networks" tab and reload the page.
3. Search for "trade" in the search box.
4. You should see 3 results - the third begins with "2002..." for me. Click on this one.
5. Click on "tradeInStatusInfo" -> "fulfillment" -> "tracking".
You will see the tracking number of the return shipping UPS label. You should also see a "isBoxShipped" field that likely reflects if your trade-in kit has shipped yet.

Considering we are getting a 100GC as well, 28$ for upgrade to pixel 7 is indeed a slick deal.
Now 966 - 545( trade in p6 pro) = 421 + 200 BB gift card.
I paid tax on the $90 transaction.
The best part is there is no anxiety for waiting my pixel and /trade in device to be fully inspected.
So I ended up getting $100 BB giftcard for $98, by trading my iphone 12 mini 256 GB with ~1.5 year old battery for pixel 7. Whether this was a good decision is remain to be seen i suppose.

For your case, I assume whatever was charged to the credit card for hold will be refunded depending on how much your trade in and phone type, pro or non. Gift card typically will be charged first but if the total amount is less than your $300 gift card, you better check which one is still having balance else need to go to bb customer service.
If they try to reject it I'll just take the gc credit back and pay instead. Might as well try though.
