- The $100 gift card is now included with the Pixel 7 in Snow, as of October 11.
- The Pixel 7 Pro in Hazel seems to go in and out of availability for pre-order. Keep checking throughout each day.
Trade-in value notes:
- In states CA (please add more), tax is charged on (price - TIV_promo).
- In states NJ, NY, tax is charged on (price - TIV_promo - TIV_normal).
- NJ: When I did an in-store pickup of an online-order, tax was automatically calculated on (price - TIV_promo - TIV_normal). But when I did an in-store purchasing today, tax was calculated on (price - TIV_promo). According to the representative, this is because TIV_normal is processes as a GC and it has to be applied after the checkout, so the tax is charged on that part. Don't know if this is all true to CA or other states.

- I've done in-store trade-ins a few times at Best Buy. They only do a cursory look at the phone, to make sure it matches the color and condition. They don't care if it is carrier locked or is still being financed. -RonaldM

1. Go to the "Order Details" page for your order on bestbuy.com. This page likely says "Shipping Kit on its way" for the trade in status.
2. Open Developer Console in Chrome. Navigate to the "Networks" tab and reload the page.
3. Search for "trade" in the search box.
4. You should see 3 results - the third begins with "2002..." for me. Click on this one.
5. Click on "tradeInStatusInfo" -> "fulfillment" -> "tracking".
You will see the tracking number of the return shipping UPS label. You should also see a "isBoxShipped" field that likely reflects if your trade-in kit has shipped yet.

Edit:
I took my Canadian passport and they even said that wouldn't work. They keep on saying it's a Federal law that I need to show a U.S government issued photo ID in offer to prevent people from trading in stolen phones. And it's considered fraud otherwise. I think this is ridiculous and I have no idea what to do

Added Pixel 7 Pro to cart on Best Buy site: $899
Added Pixel 6 trade in (perfect condition): $ - 230
Pixel 6 trade in promotional credit: $ - 280
Also see in checkout that $200 Gift Card will be emailed to me after I pick up the phone.
So I go to store. Store only shows $230 trade in. Nobody knows anything, except someone else had the same problem as me earlier. After over an hour with a supervisor talking on the phone to Best Buy higher ups, they have no solution. I went to the Best Buy app on my phone, did everything again, and showed him the checkout page with everything itemized as described above, and shows my total at checkout should be $419 + tax. He has no answer other than to "try again tomorrow, maybe something is wrong with system."
Anyone else have this experience?
Pixel 7 Pro: $899
Free Gift with Purchase: $200 Gift Card to be emailed
Device Trade In Pixel 6 128GB: -480
Then it says:
Due Today $899
Trade in Value: - $480
Total After Trade in: $419
Right there in the app, looking at it now. Then you get to the store, and trade in value actually shows $480, but in the next step the store takes to actually let me pick up my new phone, the trade in promo of $250 disappears, phone price does not change, and you're stuck with only $230 trade in. I guess you will still get the $200 gift card emailed to you, but it looks like the extra $250 trade in credit is just a bogus bait and switch that you don't get.
If this happened to others, I'm curious if and how you got the store to honor the Promotional Trade In Credit.
