According to the representative, this is because TIV_normal is processes as a GC and it has to be applied after the checkout, so the tax is charged on that part. Don't know if this is all true to CA or other states.

- I've done in-store trade-ins a few times at Best Buy. They only do a cursory look at the phone, to make sure it matches the color and condition. They don't care if it is carrier locked or is still being financed. -RonaldM

1. Go to the "Order Details" page for your order on bestbuy.com. This page likely says "Shipping Kit on its way" for the trade in status.
2. Open Developer Console in Chrome. Navigate to the "Networks" tab and reload the page.
3. Search for "trade" in the search box.
4. You should see 3 results - the third begins with "2002..." for me. Click on this one.
5. Click on "tradeInStatusInfo" -> "fulfillment" -> "tracking".
You will see the tracking number of the return shipping UPS label. You should also see a "isBoxShipped" field that likely reflects if your trade-in kit has shipped yet.

When I ordered they only had the black one. Looks like they have the white one in stock now. I would re-order but the IPhone XR trade in bonus is now gone.
edit: I was mistaken. It won't show up when you view the phones if you've already got a phone with the gc in your cart.
I can ask my friend to help but she is 3 hours away.
On the other hand, I ordered from Google, no issues at all. I do miss the $100 GC but if BestBuy makes it difficult for me, I don't think I will shop there anyways.
edit: You're awesome! Figured it out - apparently it's because I already have a P7 model in my cart with the gift card added to it and there must be a limit to one per device per order or something. If I remove it (which I was scared to do) then it shows up again.

The problems I had with P6 are its inferior screen and the terrible terrible FP reader. Has Google improved both of these with the P7? Thanks in advance.
