I don't know but I kinda agree with some of the posters here about the screen brightness on the P7 (non-pro). It would have been nice if it was little more brighter. My pixel 4a seemed to be brighter or maybe I need to get used to P7 for some more time? Also, the FP sensor light is super bright in a darker room especially when you're in bed and wanted to quickly check something. Its almost like a flash light hitting your eyes and this is the only time I miss the 4a's back FP sensor.
I bought the P7 Pro a few days ago. It has a better display than the P7, but my base S22 looks so much better in front of the P7 Pro. Easier to see outdoors and much more vibrant. I'm also not a fan on the adaptive brightness.on the P7P. Doesn't get bright until the very end of the scale. It's almost like they did that on purpose to save battery life as the Pixel display is less efficient than the ones on the S22 phones.

My S22 just feels like a better phone overall. And the biggest surprise is that the selfie camera is actually better on my S22 compared to the P7Pro. The Pixel produces horrible over processed portrait shots in lower light. The S22 shots are just so much better. The P7Pro wins when it comes to the zoom and photo editing features, but that's about it for me. The photo editing features are quite impressive though, so it may be worth to keep a base P7 around just for those.

I was really not expecting this, but buying the Pixel 7 Pro made me like my S22 256gb even more.

Any one got the cash back from pre-order? I picked my pre-order couple days ago and still haven't seen my cash back. I used tcb and it was only 2% when I place the order.
I got 8% from RMN on Pixel 7, picked the 7 Pro today so will know about this as well in couple of days.

The main thing I miss about high end Samsung phones is the displays. Clearly Samsung is getting first pick of the highest quality OLEDs because everything else falls short. Apple is pretty close lately I guess.

Yes, I didn't realize till I did a side by side comparison between the P7P and my S22. It's a very noticeable difference. I also really like the flat display on the S22.

You nailed it with this point "Doesn't get bright until the very end of the scale." And that is exactly I am noticing with my P7 with adaptive brightness set to on and if I disable it then I have to keep adjusting the brightness which I definitely don't wanna do. I think I will anyway keep the P7 for now and upgrade to Samsung sometime in future. P7P maybe closer to some of the other flagship brands but regular P7 is not.

RMN confirmed cb 4 days after pickup for me, so I'd give it a few days

I think I saw one or two people mention that they may have been able to do this, but I can't seem to dig up the posts now.

Anyone know if you can go into a store to place an order for an out of stock model (either for ship to home or pick up in store...doesn't matter) and do the trade in there in store? I'd like to do the trade in at the physical store if possible so I don't have to play the waiting game to see if it's accepted or not. I'd also feel better getting it done before 10/22 when the deal ends. Would love to be able to order a P7P in Hazel and trade in at the store.

I heard that it is supposed to learn from your input (i.e., manually making it brighter), but it didn't learn in the one day I used the phone. Put it back in the box and listed it for sale. If it doesn't sell, I'll give it another chance since I got ot for so cheap with the trade in and gift card. But this makes me want the S23 even more. I also love the light weight and the compact size of my S22 compared to the Pixel 7 Pro. The regulat Pixel 7 has a slightly larger screen than my S22 (6.1 vs 6.3), but it is so much heavier 168g vs 197g). The base P7 is the same weight as the S22+, which has a much larger display.

How long is this offer valid? I have an instore pickup date off Oct 26. If I pickup on 26th and complete the trade-in on the same day, would I still be ok to get this offer?

What screen protector are you guys using?
Is there one that is glass and works great with the finger print sensor?
I went back to the wet-apply orange-peel kind for my Pixel 6 Pro and am wondering if a working glass one exists now.

to be clear, if a store has the P7 in stock, I can go there to do the trade in and get the trade in GC immediately and use it to pay for the P7, right?
You can use the gift card from your trade to pay for p7, but not 100 gift card from buying the phone.

Whitestone dome because of the curved edges. It is on pre-order as of now.
