Trade-in value notes:
- In states CA (please add more), tax is charged on (price - TIV_promo).
- In states NJ, NY, tax is charged on (price - TIV_promo - TIV_normal).
- NJ: When I did an in-store pickup of an online-order, tax was automatically calculated on (price - TIV_promo - TIV_normal). But when I did an in-store purchasing today, tax was calculated on (price - TIV_promo). According to the representative, this is because TIV_normal is processes as a GC and it has to be applied after the checkout, so the tax is charged on that part. Don't know if this is all true to CA or other states.

- I've done in-store trade-ins a few times at Best Buy. They only do a cursory look at the phone, to make sure it matches the color and condition. They don't care if it is carrier locked or is still being financed. -RonaldM

1. Go to the "Order Details" page for your order on bestbuy.com. This page likely says "Shipping Kit on its way" for the trade in status.
2. Open Developer Console in Chrome. Navigate to the "Networks" tab and reload the page.
3. Search for "trade" in the search box.
4. You should see 3 results - the third begins with "2002..." for me. Click on this one.
5. Click on "tradeInStatusInfo" -> "fulfillment" -> "tracking".
You will see the tracking number of the return shipping UPS label. You should also see a "isBoxShipped" field that likely reflects if your trade-in kit has shipped yet.

Most of the ones I see on Amazon are $10+. Being a slickdealer I'd prefer something around $5-6!!
I was in the same boat as many where I had the Pixel 7 delivered but no trade-in kit. It'd been 7 days and no response from BB and phone support was no help.
I tried trading in at the store earlier in the week but that didn't work. I had the idea today to try doing an in-store order and returning my online order. The reps in the mobile department were able to "return" the online order and reissue me the same phone in a new order allowing me to do the trade-in in store. Sort of confusing but it worked!
My local store had one Pixel 7 in stock so not sure if that made any difference as the new phone wasn't used in the transaction. This was in the Bay area CA.
Definitely a huge relief being able to finally trade in my Pixel 6 without being at the mercy of whenever BB decides to ship the trade-in kit and if that is before the deadline of the promotion or if they will extend it due to delays on their end.

The phone itself is pretty nice. Obsidian color looks great with the matching camera bar. Being a Samsung fanboy, this phone is pretty plain but fast and no bloatware. Camera is great. Fingerprint sensor is fast but that man annoying how it brighten up in dark to scan the finger. Face unlock is useless in dark but works great during day time. The phone gets really warm during the set up. Hopefully it will get better.
