Mine says preparing for pickup today. I feel like it said that yesterday so I guess I'm in a similar situation. Order clearly shows the $300 bonus trade in credit so I don't see why it wouldn't apply when you pick up the order. Would be pretty effed up if they didn't honor it.

Edit: my order was actually scheduled to be picked up today 10/21/22 looking at the order confirm email. so maybe my situation is different from yours for now.
Yeah, slightly different. My order had previously said preparing for pickup 10/18, but when that day came it switched to "This item has been delayed." Now I don't know if I should wait, or just cancel now. A lot depends on whether they'll honor the promo trade in price and whether I can easily get the gift card that I used reimbursed ($200).

The gift card should just get the value back if the order is cancelled. I've canceled BB orders and used the gift card again within minutes.

Pixel 7s are all OOS within 250 miles of me so I wouldn't be surprised if mine gets delayed. You can still order a black one for shipping (10/31 delivery) and the bonus trade in value is quoted in the cart so I am guessing you get the trade in value quoted when you order. But their system could just be screwed up and will give you the bonus quoted when ordering even though you won't get the phone until the promo ends.

Usually with deals offered by retailers you get what you get when you ordered. Hopefully that stays true for this deal.

Delay is fine as long as we have an actual date , but we don;t and no promise of the trade in lock after 15 days. As a back up i actually order a black pixel that is semi close by, not my first choice but it is realy for pick up already. If snow is delay indefinitly, i will just pick up the trade and trade in and call it a day. Aince i will be usiong a case color don;t really matter.

Either way this si weird, there is no way best buy doesn;t know when more stock is coming in.

I'd been using the Pixel 7 for almost a week so I brought the Pixel 7 and 6 in with me. They just checked the IMEI number on both phones a couple times through the process. Even though I'd been using the phone they didn't charge me any restocking fee when doing the "return" swap.
Thanks! That makes me hopeful. I should have asked, what about the promo gift card? Was that reissued or deducted from the "return"?

Has anyone tried the "use gift card towards new purchase" trick with more than one gift card? I actually have to place a third order for a P7 and my first 2 orders were placed separately (without using the trick). That means I will have 2 gift cards that I'd love to use on the third order, but I'm not sure if the trick would still work when adding two GCs to the purchase for check out.
Can you tell me the trick in pm?

I just picked up my P7 Pro yesterday and it was probably the smoothest and easiest transaction ever with BestBuy. The whole process took about 10 mins, the rep did check the iPhone model and make sure it was the correct one but other than that, signed couple of paper, fingerprint, and I was out of there. The receipt showed only the regular trade in amount. As soon as I got to the parking lot, I saw a notification from PayPal with correct refund amount including enhanced trade in as well as $200 gift card email from BestBuy. This was a fantastic deal.

The phone itself is pretty nice. Obsidian color looks great with the matching camera bar. Being a Samsung fanboy, this phone is pretty plain but fast and no bloatware. Camera is great. Fingerprint sensor is fast but that man annoying how it brighten up in dark to scan the finger. Face unlock is useless in dark but works great during day time. The phone gets really warm during the set up. Hopefully it will get better.
I have been a Samsung user for as long as I can remember and went from an S22 to a Pixel Pro 256gb, but went straight back to my S22. Surprisingly, the selfie camera is a lot better on my S22 than on the P7Pro. Apparently, P7Pro's selfie camera doesn't have auto focus, and it also produces really overprocessed face shots in anything but bright daylight. Also, the display on the S22 is so much better. Auto brightness works better, colors are warmer. Another thing I just couldn't stand was the super large buttons with the full text on the pull down panel (to toggle Wifi, bluetooth, etc.). On my S22, the buttons are tiny with no text, so 6 of them can fit on a row. Not sure WTF Google is doing with two buttons per row with full text. Also, with the shitty adaptive brightness on the Pro where it only gets bright enough towards the end of the slider, I need to constantly adjust it, but you need to pull down two times to access the brightness slider vs. just once (configurable) on the S22. So much for the Pixel having better UI. The Pixel also feels hollow when you tap on the screen vs the solid feel of my S22, even though the Pixel is substantially heavier than the S22. You can double tap the Pixel's screen to turn it on, but can't double tap to turn it off. Yes, the Pixel has a lot of great features, but it has enough downsides to push me back to my S22, which just feels like a better phone. I even prefer the navigation on the S22 vs. the "clean" look UI of the Pixel. I'll give the pro another chance if Google fixes the terrible overprocessed selfies with an update, but for now, my base S22 (256gb) just feels so much better overall. /rant

I hear you. The screen and front facing camera are definitely better on Samsung. We can't do anything about the selfie camera other than use an editing app after.

I am currently using Fold 3 with Android OS 13 Beta. Samsung Skin is definitely better on the notification/shortcuts panel since it is a classic look.

I have no issue with adaptive brightness on my P7Pro. I don't even mess with my brightness slider on Pixel or Fold and both phones work just fine for me.

I am using Nova launcher on all my phones and double tap to turn off the display is easily configurable even on Pixel. Built in launcher is just extremely limited (including Samsung One UI). I do need to look for another launcher to replace the Nova to avoid being tracked by the analytic company. Sigh...

I think all that stuff can be fixed with a software update, cuz it's not a hardware issue.

Did you ordered a week or 2 ago? I think the black 256 and 512 are in short supply as well with November 2nd delivery date
I ordered this past Sunday the 16th and it was delivered Wednesday the 19th.

edit: I see it's a 12 day wait for it now. Guess I ordered at a good time.

Ordered a Pixel 7 on Oct 15 with a credit card and two $100 gift cards applied. Payment details on BB show $448 charged to the card and 2x$100 GC that are "Awaiting Authorization".

On my card statement I'm showing the full charge of $648, as if no gift card was applied. We'll see what happens at pickup but has anyone else gone through this yet? If so, how did it go?

You cannot apply gift card to purchas this order, it did not allow as this had a 100$ promo gift card to the order

Nah there's a way around it. I'm not going to get into it but it is possible to do the transaction with a GC applied. I just want to know how it ends up going for people who did this once they went to do the pickup/trade-in.

Does Nova let you customize the look of the pull down menu?

What's the deal with people being fingerprinted? I'm not giving my fingerprint to Best Buy.
