I'm not sure I would use this for support if you don't already have an injury. Reducing ankle mobility can greatly increase the chance of other types of injury. I don't see the appeal beyond comfort and recovery.
I recently ruptured my Achilles, fully tearing it off the muscle. I'm looking at a minimum of a year for recovery. Something like this will help with that
