I got one of these and I actually really like it. I paid more than this and I probably did pay too much but not $2k. That being said, I play in a rock cover band and this sounds great through the PA for acoustic songs and being able to switch between the acoustic and electric sounds in songs is great. I also don't like playing straight acoustic guitars. I really like that it feels like an electric so I use it to practice songs I'd normally play on an electric and it feels more or less the same as an electric and being acoustic I can hear it better without having to plug into a bunch of gear. Say what you will about it but I can't think of a much better guitar to just have out to play or use live in some cases. 1100 is probably about right for this imo being a made in the USA guitar with overall great build quality. Whether it meets your needs is up to you but I was pleasantly surprised.

Gotta say - I think these were a major bust for Fender. A great effort but haven't seen the market respond well. My test of one was pretty disappointing as it lacked the feel of an acoustic and an electric … fell into a no man's land. If you want to gig with 1 guitar in a coffee shop it's probably great but hard to be passionate about a pancake with a hole. I might be interested @ $750

Incredible guitar that 90% of genpop guitar world should never buy. You need to be aware of exactly what you want with this guitar. Not made for average folks, but if you have a specific sound you're looking for... Nothing like it. If ya know you know.

Seems like the kind of thing that will be discontinued and worth a fortune some day due to rarity.

Not true. Those that have them and actually played them ,Love them. Fantastic for playing live. Also surprising how many big name players are using them ,live and in the studio. Jack White has a very cool custom shop one he ordered ,then used it on most of the album he was doing. Uses it often live.

Was at NAMM when they Acoustisonic Tele was first introduced. Media was really liking the way it played. The only question was price. Which I don't get, more in depth build than a Tele , higher costs in parts. Yet folks don't complain about an American Tele with a similar price. Anyway the musicians (especially singer songwriters and those who play acoustic only out of necessity and are mainly electric players Loved it. Myself included.

Dare anyone to get hands on one play it for a week and not be impressed with its playability, Versitility, and the bonus a Greta guitar to noodle around on unplugged has better acoustic tone than it should and more natural volume than one thinks.

For this price it's a bargain.

Seems like a lot of trash talk on here. I play guitar everyday. I have been watching this used on Reverb since it was released, rarely do they drop below $1200 used. I think if this was as bad as people say they would go for a lot less used by now. I am obviously in for one brand new.

This is an amazing guitar for the right application, Anywhere from classic rock to Ed Sheeran and even percussive modern acoustics stuff. I am a fingerstyle player so Unfortunately the string spacing is a bit narrow for my taste. Just the sheer amount of Fishman technology in this is great
