I would trade someone my a80j 77 oled for this. It would be nice to be able to leave it on any channel like news for as long as I want without fear of burn in.
If thats a concern pick mini led tv like 75u8h..... there are lot of new models new tech with mere price difference..why getting older model over a grand?
Finally pulled the trigger. Been tracking 75 and 77 TVs for the past year. Wanted OLED but this seems like a really good value for the size. This will be fine until 77-85" QD-OLED are a digestible price. Thanks OP!

Burn in on recent released oleds is a total non issue

Could people with more knowledge about TVs educate me on this deal? Why should I buy this rather than a TCL 6-series or Hisense U7G and U8H?
Lots of good tv. There are Sony fans, for good reason if you demand accurate colors as intended and natural. However, Sony charge a premium (Sony tax) and most won't notice difference, or prefer saturated pop of many other brands. For those that want color accuracy without calibrating, Sony is excellent. This model is their top model excluding OLED.
Can anyone comment on the effectiveness of the anti-reflective coating? I have extreme glare from my windows and hoping this coating would make a difference

I had a hisense u8g 65 I was not happy with, poor processing and red ghosting and dirty screen effect and uneven backlight and a few other things irked me about that set which forced me into upgrading to the sony oled.
Now that I see the sony vs hisense quality difference, I'm not sure I could try hisense again.
It would have to be worlds better than the u8g for me to try again.
This sony the thread is about may not be up to snuff for me either, didn't look into it, but I would like a killer Sony Qled, if that even exists, as close to Oled in quality as possible just without the burn in risk.
