"Warranty: 2 Year Limited 3rd Party Warranty"

Sounds like this is being sold without the LG factory warranty...which raises a big red flag in my eyes.

I've got the LG C2 in the basement media room. Amazing TV. Our local ABC Warehouse had the C2 side-by-side with the Samsung QN90B in a dimly lit corner of the store (much closer to our viewing conditions) and let us stream whatever we wanted on YouTube. My wife, who is not picky about TVs felt the C2 was a much better picture. Combine this with the fact that OLED TVs tend to be much more reliable than similar LCD's, (see Stop the FOMO YouTube video) we convinced ourselves to go with the OLED.

As a PSA, the 77" is 40% bigger (ie more surface area) than the 65". Sometimes ppl don't realize it's that big of a jump between TV sizes so figured I'd comment
That's true, however people don't perceive increases in area (2D space) the same as they do increases in 1D space (i.e. length), so while it's technically true it's 40% bigger, it doesn't appear that big.

Ultimately, the best size is dictated by viewing distance.

how's this FP worthy? not even that great of a deal
Because this is the first time the LG C2 65" has been under $1600 w/out having to be a military vet or some other YMMV condition.

But is woot warranty reliable? That is the question

And do they have the BF return policy like so many other outlets? In case we find a better deal.

Do you guys think a better deal will pop up between now and BF?

I would wait a month for BF, you will have many options. Not buying my TV from woot anyway!

I've gone through 3 LG OLED.
There's many issues with the panel getting vertical line problems. My latest C1 77in gets this black faded vertical collum after a few hours of gaming. Goes away but man it's so dumb

Honestly if you're not going oled @ 65" get the Hisense 65u8h. I bought it for my living room. A couple (minor) issues aside it's an amazing set. The brightest I've ever seen, Deep blacks, vivid color, at times the contrast is OLED like. And for $999(plus the $100 100 day rebate) it's the best value, period!
Could you elaborate on the minor issues please?
What don't you like about the U8H?

How is the upscaling of 720p and 1080 content to 4K?
Is the motion good on live sports broadcasts and streaming?

I've seen FOMO's videos and read Rtings review. I'd really like to know the experience of an average user.

For me it's a toss up between the LG C2 and the U8H. My fear on the C2 is watching sports during the day in an average "family room" and feeling the picture is dim. My fear about the U8H is that the picture will look "soft" and the motion will be blurry.

Thanks in advance for your response.

From Rtings:

The Samsung S95B OLED and the LG C2 OLED deliver a somewhat similar experience, but they each stand out in different ways. Colors are significantly brighter on the Samsung, and it can display a wider color gamut with HDR content. Skin tones look better on the Samsung, but some colors look a bit unnatural at times. On the other hand, the LG has better black levels in rooms with a bit of natural light, whereas the Samsung is really best enjoyed in a completely dark room. The LG supports Dolby Vision, and it delivers a slightly more accurate HDR experience

You are correct about this - NO factory warranty at all - confirmed by woot: https://forums.woot.com/t/new-lg-...t-checkout

Additionally, they are checking to see if they can provide any details about the warranty. That's from an hour ago. Never seen such weirdness. Hard pass for me.

Lowes currently has exact same price.

No extended warranty though.... Just standard manufacturer warranty and full protection is 250 extra bucks.

I just picked up a 65c1 yesterday from Costco for $1399 which included the Allstate warranty.

Is the c2 that much better to go through the hassle of a return?

How? The price on Costco when I look at it is 1499.

Also, woot is pretty shady, better to have Costco. The c2 is only. Marginally better.
