As I mentioned, add additional 3 dummy lines and put those 3 sims in your drawer for 1 year or if you have some international guest give it to them. Verizon deal makes sense on at least 5 lines. Plus you can chat with them to waive off $35 activation fees plus some cashback sites gives you back $75 per line you add. Means $75 *5. It all depends what's the best cashback site these days and how much cash back they provide. Search on slickdeals by verizon byod.
Can you provide a link this deal please?

Best buy is getting pretty good. Placed the order at 9:15 am, selected free delivery for tomorrow (didn't want to pay extra for same-day delivery), but they delivered it shortly before 1:00 pm anyway. Thought it was a glitch but sure enough, envelope was right on my door step...

I think better sign up for Verizon BYOD deal with minimum 5 lines. If you really need 2 lines to port, add 3 dummy lines. Verizon will come out cheap and you would be good for 1 year. No jumping around. And you will be on the network itself versus a mvno and capped at 4gb per month. Verizon would be unlimited data. Just my 2 cents.
So do you need 5 devices. I'm in that boat where I need 2 lines but if I can get 5x$500 credit for BYOD makes sense. Just don't have 5 devices I guess I could go buy cheap ones etc. But do they check if you actually use them for the 12 months etc. Or can I activate the SIM on my phone

One users account of that Verizon BYOD deal:

So <$10/mo/line for 13 months (with 5 lines). Unlimited data and Disney etc perks.

I'm guessing mint mobile won't start this promo on their own website for a few weeks.
You generally pay more in taxes and fees when buying directly from Mint. The one advantage that buying from Mint will get you is that you can place an order toward the end of the promotion and wait to activate until late January or even February.

The SIM card retail packaging on Best Buy says I can port in my current phone number. People in this discussion are saying they have to deal with getting a new phone number just to get this deal. I'm an idiot who thought I could not port my number over. In reality the people who are not porting in their phone number are past Mint customers who would be ineligible for this deal since their old phone number was used with Mint in the past.

Edited this post because I was asking a question about porting but found my own answer. Hope this helps to clarify for others.

Stack with A/X offer for $45 statement credit when you spend $90. Works out to be $45 for 6 months of the unlimited plan 👍🏽

How?
Amex offer is for mintmobile.com purchases, not best buy.

Or is this buy3 get 3free offer good on any 3 month sim no during the promo period, no matter where you purchase from?

Thus you can buy from mint mobile and get the same offer?

Ugh you're totally right, I missed that. Would still apply to the buy 6 get 6 offer from Mint but not as slick.
