Even without bypassing iGPU, it performs well (can see numbers in full review).

Completely different ballpark. 6800M falls in between 3070 and 3080. Some games, with external monitor (to bypass iGPU), this can beat a 3080.

R9 also much faster processor...

I'd go for open box for $980 over acer nitro for $725.

I have the FHD version of this incredible laptop, well built with vapor chamber cooling solution, stunning display, long lasting battery life and nice little speakers, the $1K range 680M integrated graphics found nowadays is a childs toy compared to this, this one is much much more powerful easily comparable to a 6600XT desktop class GPU on the go, 16GB (2X8 ram) is plenty for most users unless you really need to expand your RAM also make sure you get certified RAM for this laptop as other kits may work "nicely" but it will eat up your battery life much quicker than normal (in my experience).

From what I'm seeing, it's luck of the draw. Supposed to come with the faster RAM, but some people ended up having to replace them.

Hmmm......is this worth the 50% price increase over the Acer Nitro 5 i bought last month for $725 with a Ryzen 5 and RTX 3060?? Decisions Decisions.....

Are there any disadvantages of Radeon GPUs compared to Nividia RTX for 3D model rendering?

Asking because I have heard hardware acceleration on some video editing softwares like premiere pro work better on Nividia.
