This laptop gpu is as powerful as desktops of the 6700 XT or a 3060 ti or a 2080 ti, it's almost as powerful as a 3070. Give this as a gift to any gamer and they will be very pleased with it. If you're thinking of getting into PC gaming this would be a great all in one place to start.

Bought it a few weeks ago during the same sale, no real issues so far. They seemed to have fixed the previous model's (5900) problems. The rgb lighting gets a little confused during sleep, but probably a bios issue.

Only trouble I'm having is hooking it up to my Hisense U7G, can't get 120 hz, but that might be user error. Got a usb c to hdmi 2.1 adapter on the way for final testing. The hdmi out works okay, but the experience isn't nearly as smooth as playing on a Series X.

Depending on game, it performs somewhere between 3070 and 3080 if connected via USB C.

There's really no better machine at this price point.

there was not a single time i needed a webcam on my gaming desktop in past 10 years.
if needed there is always an option to get an external one though

Anyone know if a cooling pad is needed? They aren't that expensive, but it's good for people to know that don't want to use docking bays or can't because they move the station around a lot.

I really wanted by this but I have a gaming laptop and it's overheating like a nuclear reactor. This laptop is gonna be like that couple of years. So I think I'll go with desktop this time
