10g of soy protein isolate. 16g of added sugar (half of a regular snickers bar) I suppose for the "energy" on the label. Hard pass.

It's astonishing how people think every product on the market needs to be catered toward a sedimentary lifestyle. One should look at the packaging and see every one includes an outdoor activity where one wants easy to access carbs to continue the activity. These were never intended to munch on while sitting at your computer.

It never fails -- every time a Clif deal is posted, there's some diatribe about sugar content and whatnot.

Thank you for the post OP! I like Clif bars since they don't melt in my bag like most other bars, not to mention how well they fit in my hipbelt pockets. There might be healthier alternatives, but who doesn't deserve a treat every now and again.

Sedimentary lifestyle? Sounds dirty.

Market as energy bars? Perhaps. As protein bars? Hell no.

I am laughing at the fact that people need to defend what they consume.

If you like it, eat it. If it serves your needs. great. If not, move on.

Here I thought this was a site devoted to deals or not deals.

So I ask you this.

Is this a deal? I'm getting tired of the 2 flavors costco has on Cliff bars. so I'm tempted to try these.

People will complain about the content of a $.50 cliff bar, but no one questions the ink of a $2,000 fountain pen on this site.

Would these be a good choice for someone looking for a decent snack that people will go out of their way to criticize?
