just got the iphone XR from tracfone deal for 99 + $15 per month plan. It showing warranty till Feb-16-23.

Also when I text UNLOCK to 611611 . it says your phone will be automatically unlock on 12-12-2022

Depend on what you are trying to do, trade in or get it unlock?

Remember Verizon bought over Tracfone family including straight talk and Totalwireless. So iPhones purchased get unlocked after activation for minimum one month and waiting 60 days. Sometimes you need to call Tracfone unlocking service to get it unlock.

The iPhone XR received include an instruction to activate either through Straight Talk or Total Wireless… thus my extra explanation above.

I did that. You can do it in store too, they will input the imei so you need to make sure the iphone is setup with no account and then they can see the imei information in the system infor in store. If doing by shipping, factory reset.

I'm having this phone shipped to me and then taking it to BB for in-person trade-in for Pixel 7. Besides factory reset, is there anything else one must do in order to get this phone successfully traded in and getting the full $420 credit value applied to the Pixel price?

If trading in store, as explained setup with no account so that Bestbuy associate can see the imei, they will reset for you.

If you dare to try, you should get two units but ymmv. I did a double trade in with Bestbuy using two stores. An old deal: My flip 3 for s22 for $800 credit then another Bestbuy store with a return within 14 days for $800 and trade in a iPhone SE to a s22 ultra. Some bb store associates may not do it so ymmv if you do it with a pixel 7 to a pixel 7 pro with two trades and lots of leg work.

The sim is pre-inserted, so remove it. You also get a usb c to lightning cable.
