But cant risk it knowing only 15 day return window. Better to wait for ThanksGiving deals with return window until Jan 31st.

This why Slickdeals is toxic. People make comments with no data to back it up. They spout and don't understand benchmark data. Look at benchmarks including Techpowerup. This is a solid deal and will do most folks well. Thanks to OP for posting.
even the HP omen deals with the 3070 cards for like $1280 on sale every month seems better and you can still upgrade the HP omen PSUs. cooling issue is easily fixable.
that being said, i will be in the minority and be willing to spend more and get the lenovo legion desktop with the 3070 card and ddr5 memory (at lenovo.com or at costco, which hopefully goes on sale by november)
3070 is only 10% faster than 3060ti but you want to pay far more for it? Not a Slickdeal but hey pay more for less frames per dollar.
This deal might not be for everyone but it costs the same or less than building your own at this point. CLEARLY there's going to be a deal later. Look at this post in a year and you can probably get a 12700k with a 4060 for $999.

On a scale of 1-10, this is at BEST a 5.5/10 deal - This is one of those deals where its more of a forecast of deals and is just another benchmark with which to compare future deals with.
1. Zotac nvidia gpus consistently score in the Mid-middle to High-middle tier compared to other GPUs of the same model (in this case the Nvidia GeForce 3060ti) compared to major name brand gpu manufacturers such as: Asus, evga, msi etc. - that means that they're at BEST a little better than the average 3070ti in terms of performance, however they do rate higher in terms of value because the cards so so much cheaper than their competitors. The differences in scores are miniscule since they're all 3070ti's however, zotac is just a little worse than the big player and their reputation isn't the best either. If I were to build a computer right now, I wouldn't even consider a zotac branded GPU.
2. 16gb RAM, 1tb SSD is the bare minimum of what a modern pre-built gaming setup should have - bare minimum. I have a 10 year old machine with 2 tbs and 16 gbs. Some are even saying 16gb isn't enough and that 32 gb ram is the new minimum. If this deal came with 32gb of ram, I'd rate this deal 1-2 more pts higher.
3. The PSU is of a crappier brand a 3/10 score for me - If you get this deal, I'd swap it out with something more reliable within 2-3 months because if that thing goes, it'll probably fry your whole system with it. PSUs usually die within 3-5 years anyways, and good ones usually don't fry your internals.
Overall, this is still a ZOTAC branded pre-built - zotac doesn't have the best reputation, deservedly so when compared to its other name brand competitors. Without knowing the specs, the deal does seem pretty good, however, with a better examination of its specs, its pretty clear that this is just an average deal at best and not something I'd recommend others to jump on either. If this deal was posted in 2020, I'd jump on it and give it a 8 or 9/10 deal, however its 2022, 4000 series cards are out, 3060 prices are tanking and tanking hard and 3070ti prices are tanking right along with it. For $1k, it's just not a GREAT deal and is at BEST an average deal. If you NEED a computer right this moment, and you can't wait out the 3-6 months for the 3000 series cards to fully tank then yeah, buy it, but if you can wait it out, do so.

If this had a 12th gen Intel it would be a better deal, but as it is they're hoping people get wowed by that i7 and figure it's a slick deal. In reality it's a meh pairing for gaming. I'd rather spend the same or a little more for a 3070 with a less energy hungry and more current i5 since the GPU is what really matters in a gaming PC.

Performance-for-dollar, this seems like a good deal. Just need it for the new MMO that pops up and co-op game with a friend, don't need some powerhouse PC.
You guys all really think $1100 for a 3060ti with a soon-to-be 2 generation old cpu is really a slick deal?
You realize it's not 2020 anymore, right?
