I'm torn on this as the S22 Ultra is better here to trade than Best Buy m, but Google trade in is a nightmare and very anxiety ridden. Your usps tracking will never say delivered and it's random when they will receive it. Lots of horror stories
Had the worst experience ever with purchasing a phone from Google. Bought a Pixel 5 as a gift for my mother and it arrived broken (known issue with screen blacking out). Sent it back and they claimed it was from damage during transport. Why would I file a claim for a problem I magically knew would happen during transport?? They sent the device back to me after denying claim. When it arrived the screen was now broken! They then went on to say this was my fault because I didn't use their packaging (even though I did) and wouldn't give replacement until I sent them video proof of me packing the phone in the box they provided. I had video of it because I've dealt with Google before. Buyer beware when dealing with this company. I had an excellent experience back when they had the nexus line of phones all the way until the pixel 2 and they've been terrible since!

Edit: Disclaimer - this whole process took about 3 months of back and forth and hours upon hours between emails and phone calls.

That's good to know , after returning new phone did you initiate new trade in or just kept the money for old phone ?
You don't get real $ from what I mentioned in earlier post. I had 400 credit from my a71 5G purchase after I returned the 6a from late September. Google store credit is kind of like funny money.. You want to use it asap when there's a sale.

I applied it to the purchase of a P7 and traded in another phone (P4a)

Since the two combined trade-ins is higher than the total cost of the P7 (by about $95), in theory the difference turns into refund on credit card... we shall see. It's uncharted water.

I think it's better. My s22u 256gb trade in value was 700 before and now it's $850. I'd take $150 cash over $200 Google store credit any day. But really depends on the phone you have to trade in.

edit: it was $850 last night when new promotion went live, looks like they changed it to 925 this morning.
Same here. I've disliked a lot about my S22 Ultra, but didn't want to trade it in for 700 plus gift cards. For $925, I jumped on it. Crazy that they give a better deal after the pre-order is over.

Usually means preorders didn't meet expectations.

Tempting. I have a Pixel 5 with unlimited photo/video storage and don't know if I want to lose that just yet.

Why is the 6 pro at $480 while the regular 6 is $490?

I am not sure I would trade a s22 ultra for a Pixel 7 Pro.

While the pixel probably has a better camera in most other other areas the s22 ultrais better. A slightly smaller display in Pixel does not translate into a smaller phone. Also considering the track record of bugs in Pixel 6 lineup not sure what one gains by this trade.
I think it would be worth it to get off of Samsung's version of Android, and just use stock Android. The Galaxy UI and suite of bloatware was just never appealing to me.

$250 for a S9. That is the most I have seen in a long time.
It is automatically taking 256GB for me. No option to change it to galaxy s9 64GB or 128GB. Do you see any difference when you tried to trade in?

And yet they haven't increased the rates for pixel 6 pro. This is just sad

Ended up pulling the trigger, have a S22 Ultra 128gb to trade in, got a 7 pro 256gb, also will receive almost $100 back in credit since I have Google One and 4% CB.
How did you get 4% CB?

Only $540 for my 256GB P6P. No thank you, I'll keep it for another year.

I just went for it. I had 10% from the pixel 6a which applied against it then got back another 10%. Good deal!
Where are you getting the extra 10% back. Are there amex or chase offers out there now?
