Or, if you are V customer and 5G plan holder, trade your older phone for $700 toward 7 or 7 pro.
Did it with Pixel 2 XL two days ago.
Will make 7 pro 128GB $5/mo per line and 7Pro 256GB $8/mo per line on top of regular bill for 36 months. Open your account and see if it will work for you, and then call Verizon and talk to rep to activate that deal. Or do it online.

I haven't done any side by side comparisons but FWIW on one of the reviews I watched ithe Pixel 7 was painfully better.

Go through like you're going to order. There's a trade-in section, an option for cracked screen is there and you can see how much they will give you. It will be less than without a crack but even cracked screen options for some phones have enhanced trade-in credit amounts. Some even get full credit as if no crack when hey send it in but ymmv. Best thing to do is throughly document with photos/videos before sending in if you decide.

I actually opted out of my work phone. My employer charges us $15/mo but gives us a new free iPhone every 2 yrs, which is a good deal, but I value my convenience and everyday user experience more (my home is powered by Google Home, and my car is Android auto also). I don't regret it.

Verizon only works if you have a plan without any trade-in credits currently, right?

For instance, I have another 12 months of credits on a iPhone 13 Pro Max from last year. I can't upgrade that phone or I lose the credits, and if I add a line, I can't cancel it or I lose the credits on the new phone.

I doubt that Verizon is as generous as T-Mobile and would let you buy out a phone AND continue to get credits from them for a trade-in. Verizon is scummy like that after all. LMAO

I am sure Google will make you pay somehow. If refused, they will send it to a collection agency and ruin your credit score.

No idea to be honest. My phone's was paid off long time ago - 3 x Pixel 2XL - and I just open my account, check upgrades, Pixel 7 is an option, click, there is drop down menu with a list of phones and all Pixels are selected and all of them gave you $700 trade in for Pixel 7/7 pro. And there is bunch of other phones too, lots of older models

I have 300$ worth of Google Store Credit from previous purchases, didn't pull the trigger earlier because didn't want to get stuck with 200$ of credit again, I so wish Google gave a 200$ "refund" to match the BestBuy offer.
