Update on my case — after about 90 minutes between 1 call that was dropped before a resolution, and 1 chat session, it turns out that the email I received saying that my trade-in being rejected was sent in error. I went to fi.google.com/account#plan and then under the Devices section I clicked on my trade-in and see that it says I should receive a $600 credit within 2-3 business days back to my credit card.

Ugh what a relief but what a mess.

Sold my 128GB Pixel 7 for less than $480 on swappa.. Damn the value is dropping fast as the street is flooded with BestBuy buys and all the bloated trade-in deals.

Yup with these kind of things you either gotta be posting the phone for sale the first day its released and hope it sells that same day or wait it out if you are doing these trade in deals for a profit instead of to keep.

It was this way for my two previous orders with trade ins when I got the Pixel 6a. The credit they say you'll get at checkout and on your original Google Store receipt is the exact same amount that was issued later.
Maybe that's the case without Google Store Financing? I'm looking at my order details for my Pixel 6. I've got the 2TB plan, so I get 10% back, and I received a credit of $28.38. The phone was $599. I got a trade in value of $366. Math checks out that I got 10% after the trade in credit.

Maybe that's a reason not to use Google's 0% financing?

Google is being lame removing the GC bonus and dropping values while BB still has the same promo.

Google doesn't value it's own hardware. These phones are gonna drop half value by Christmas.

They do when it's an older device. They are trying to snag Apple and Samsung customers, or older Pixel users who might leave. There is zero reason to overpay for a recent Pixel user.

I have the Pixel 6, and terrible signals strength. Randomly drops signals and gets a ! sign. I got Pixel 7 from BB offer (256GB) for $750+$480 Trade-in Value (In Store) and $100GC. Will be picking it up on Friday. Anyone has signal issues with Pixel 7 if you have in hand?

After 42 pages, can someone confirm that the best buy deal is best if you don't mind the store gift card, and Google store is best for straight trade in value? Current phone is 6 pro 128gb, wanting 7 pro. TIA.

Correct but I have a third option, assuming it's in stock (right now it's in stock), you don't mind 128GB storage, can use or resell Mint 4GB 12 month service AND port in a number then this is worth considering:

No, because the trade-in values are different for each device. That's why some people think Google is better, and some think Best Buy is better.
Everyone justs needs to spend 10 minutes and check their trade-in value themselves.

This is exactly it. S22 Ultra is $900 or more from Google, and at least $725 but also has the $100 or $200 gift card. I originally went with Google but ended up switching to Best Buy. Something to keep in mind is that Best Buy won't let you order a phone that is less than the trade in value for your old phone, while Google will but it appears the excess credit most likely comes back in the form of Google Store credit.

Did everyone get their promised TIV? Just wondering , because I am trading in a broken iPhone XR, for which the TIV shows as $370 .The phone turns on and works well.My new pixel 7 will arrive today and trade in kit on 10/20. So yet to send my old phone. Looking for suggestions on this .Around how much value can I expect ?
