What if you return once the trade in credit is posted to your cc
See terms and conditions from Google on first page along with a Google article on trade ins. From one of the links:

"If you return the phone you bought with your trade-in, you'll receive the trade-in value as a Google Store credit in your account."

I've always been tempted to do one of these inflated promotional trade-ins, return the phone, then wait to use the credit when the price drops, but seems like a risky proposition considering the trouble some people have with Hyla/Google.

Is the Pixel 7 a huge improvement over my S20 FE? They are offering $370 trade in...so $229 before taxes. Should I jump on this deal or wait for BF?

Coming from an S20 FE 5G I'd say yes, I couldn't do the deal w/Best Buy on the Pixel 7 they kept pulling up a trade in value of $150, let's see better camera on the Pixel, most current os, and you won't have the samsung bloatware and duplicated apps. you'll go to a pure android experience which is what I missed when I made the switch to the Samsung I also won't miss the issue I had with touch screen sensitivity which despite the patch and updates was never quite right.

I dropped my trade in box in usps this morning and but don't see any update on tracking information. Called Customer care and they are creating case to investigate. What should I do now? Since I got better trade in value, I ordered pixel 7. If not, I have to return. Please advise.
It's hardly 24 hours and you're already freaking out because there's no traction on USPS system? Wow, chill out, you don't use USPS much, huh?

I had the same situation during Pixel 6a trade in.
Dropped package at USPS. For 8 days tracking just said USPS in possession of item. No update.
Opened a USPS case and they closed saying the item might be delivered.
Then suddenly after another week, there was a scan in Pittsburgh. The package should never have gone there. Then to Memphis and then to Nashvlle.
Basically took another 2 weeks to be delivered to Google.
Google acknowledged the package delivered after another 8 days.

So all in all - from the time I dropped package to USPS - it took 35+ days for Google to say they got it.

Then Google REFUSED to honor the inflated trade in values since it had been more than 30 days. Fortunately I had the receipt of package drop off at USPS. Send Google the receipt. They escalated it to a "Specialist team". Gave me the run around for another week or so.

FINALLY got the trade in amount. A crazy ride with USPS and Google. I'm sure you will have an easier time..

Trade in a Pixel 3 which has a terrible speaker phone, 64gb, and a scratch on the screen but otherwise in good working condition towards a Pixel 7?

Thanks all for your feedback. I know it is less than 24 hours. But since it is usps, I am little worries. I was in a hurry to office today morning and went to drop off the package, person in the counter was busy with another customer. She asked me to place the package in the table as it is drop off and leave. When I contacted customer support in the evening, they told me it should have been updated in 1 hour after drop off. They have created a investigation case on their side. Investigation response will be given in 3 business days. After that I become much worried as it will delay the trade in to reach within my return period!

Well it was a crazy experience and I think I wasted more time on it than the $250 trade in was worth.

Google's CS is so inept. I had 2 different cases opened at the same time. They kept on saying a specialist team would reach out in 48 hours, but no one ever did. Even when they got my trade in phone delivered, they refused to honor the initial trade in value saying it took more than 30 days.

I had to open another case, create a reddit thread, site Google multiple times and finally after 2 weeks of follow up - they refunded me as a store credit. NOT back on my credit card like promised.

Don't sweat it. What needs to happen at USPS very rarely does. Sometime a package will be scanned and be on the way promptly. Other times someone will put it in a wrong bin, there will be no scan and it will get routed to a different state. Then there will be an origination scan and it will go slowly to different locations before being delivered.
