You can definitely use these for overlanding. Solar panels go directly into the units. It has a built in inverter. I use a smaller jackery when we go camping to power our fans, lights and air mattresses.
i can't find the DELTA 1000 on ecoflow website. perhaps made special for samclub?
but looking at the pictures, it is almost the same as the new DELTA 2 in look and watt-hrs... but important to note that it does NOT have the plug for expandable battery capacity (same plug that powers the Ecowave air conditioner), and the battery chemistry is NCM Li-Ion.
edit:
For $300 more you can get the DELTA 2 that has the plug mentioned above with LiFePO4 battery (roughly 3.5 times the cycle life of NCM batteries) and same capacity.
for those not in a rush to use one soon, lifepo4 version of river is about to come out on 10/25 with other updated features too.

I'm ignorant on these electrical things. Are these what people use in those adventure vans that have solar panels on the roofs? Some AC or DC inverter from the panels to this thing to always have 1MWH of charge?

Bothers me everyone keep harping on the battery chemistry. The ncm is 500-800 full discharge cycles to 80% capacity. despite being older tech these units should last 3-5 years cycling everyday .The tech in these devices is rapidly evolving, it's likely we will see huge leaps in the available features making even the newest unit just as obsolete in 3-5 years .

Delta 2 is completely different then the Delta 1000. Is uses a lifepo4 battery that has 5 times the charge cycles as the Delta 1000 or Max
