It's a great handy little set and I use it all the time, however it was just $15.65 on Wednesday: https://slickdeals.net/f/16100938-gearwrench-35-piece-1-4inch-drive-microdriver-set-85035-nut-drivers-amazon-com-15-65

I used to be a big fan of this set, but not so much anymore. The ratchet just isn't very durable. For a home owner it may be okay, but for industrial use they don't hold up well. We've broken several at work. I've replaced mine with the VIM ratchets that are of similar shape. They seem to be better built.
If your using it for industrial use then you should get a higher quality kit

The price point is toward light/medium use

This is a great set for industrial/ heavy use

This is one of my favorite tool kits to keep around even I'm working on the car or odd projects around the house. The sockets are nice, but I mainly use it for the hex and Phillips fasteners in really tight and odd locations that you can't get to with a normal screwdriver or ratchet.

There was one instance where I was installing a master cylinder brace in my car and it required putting in 4 hex-head bolts feel inside a spot behind a bunch of harnesses, fuel lines, etc. It had to be done completely by feel units I wanted to disassemble a while bunch of stuff. This tool kit plus a hex key socket was the only way to get it done

Hmm, that Icon ratchet bears a striking resemblance to this VIM model:

so .... if i have a 25% off icon it makes the ICON a better deal

Better off buying a bigger set for a little more money. I don't even use mine.

Good to know that your needs are exactly the same as everyone else's!

I got this for a few bucks cheaper years ago, but use it on a regular basis. Small enough to keep handy in the house for stuff that doesn't need the full toolset.

I can't speak for long-term durability since I just use it around the house maybe a few times a month, but it has held up well so far.

We use the Gearwrench because my company bought like 50 of them. Also, between the low head and bits that we shorten, the head clearance is hard to beat. I have bit ratchets from several high-quality tool manufacturers. I probably use a Wera most often, but they all have been good. In fact, most of the cheapies have been good. But those Gearwrench ratchets aren't.

I've had it for years (red case) and just broke it (applied hammer face A to ratchet face B a little too aggressively) a month ago and mourned it. Excited to be able to replace it in kind

This set rarely get used in my garage, and the case does come open to spill the contents often. But when I needed to get in some tight places a few weeks ago it saved me a TON of teardown work. Well worth keeping around if you work on vehicles to supplement a regular socket set.

great set!
But the case lid is crap!
$12.99 in 2018 for reference
I second the case lid blows as that's proof you own it and broke it like mine. Not the set to throw in a tool bag sadly as it is a great set. Great inside the house set. I used mine just recently to install the garage door opener as well as a friends grill. I have the older redish one as you probably do.
