It's a great handy little set and I use it all the time, however it was just $15.65 on Wednesday: https://slickdeals.net/f/16100938-gearwrench-35-piece-1-4inch-drive-microdriver-set-85035-nut-drivers-amazon-com-15-65

It's more for tight spaces. Like shoving your hand deep into the dash of your car where you have 2 inches of clearance.

That said, I've only ever wished I had a micro driver once and I still managed to get it done with a 1/4 ratchet and a 1/4 socket.

I did actually end up buying a Klein
Klein Tools 65200 Ratchet Set, 5-Piece Mini Ratchet Set with Phillips, Slotted, and Adapter for Other Socket Sizes, For Tight Spaces https://a.co/d/cP5gK0m

I'm not sure why this post gets more response than the lower price a few days ago.

Yes! That and the fact that it's about a $3 discount on a $20 item!

It's great for tight spots that you can't fit a stubby screw driver in or you can't quite fit a regular ratchet. For when you can touch a fastener and just barely slip a bit or socket over it. When back lash will keep a fastener from going in a tight spot. It is optimized for those situations. I don't use mine often but it's been the only thing that would do the job a few times.

It's also nice for something you can shove in your pocket when you need to adjust something like an damper/exhaust fan on your roof. You can use the 1/4 inch drive or 5/16 bits as a back up in your palm while you use a larger tool in your dominant hand. It's also nice for adjusting stuff without having to remove something else to access the fastener. If you put together furniture, work on cars, maintain pocket knives, fix kid's toys, or mess with electronics you can probably put it to good use. I got mine on sale for 8 or 10 bucks and my first thought after using it was that I'd easily pay $20 for it after I understood what it could do.

I used to be a big fan of this set, but not so much anymore. The ratchet just isn't very durable. For a home owner it may be okay, but for industrial use they don't hold up well. We've broken several at work. I've replaced mine with the VIM ratchets that are of similar shape. They seem to be better built.

I have this one, paid $13 for it a few years ago. It is a good set and it comes in handy more than you would think. In fact I have three of these types of tools. My favorite of the 3 is this one FWIW https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0...asin_title

Get this one also when it's on sale. I like the flex head and extension.

Hmm, that Icon ratchet bears a striking resemblance to this VIM model:

Personally, I like the Sunex set I bought about 10 years ago from Costco for $20, similar to this one: Sunex 9732 44Pc 1/4" Dr Mini Dual Flex Head RATCHET W Socket & Bit Set https://a.co/d/6RjGeGF

However, I can't find it, must be somewhere in the house, in the interim I bought Gearwrench set at $15.xx a few days ago. can't justify spending $43 on Sunex set.

Inflation, bad economy, possible recession, gotta be careful.

Another price reference- I paid $12.68 for this in April, 2019. It's a nice little set.

I used this to fix my bicycle and assemble Ikea furniture. Totally exceed my expectations.
