Some of this information has been presented in other threads, but I thought it would be useful to consolidate them in one place for those considering different models. From lowest to highest price:

Garmin Edge 1030 (refurbished) $250 from GPS City [gpscity.com]

Garmin Edge 1030 Plus (new) $450 from Bike Closet [bikecloset.com] (subject of a previous SD thread)

Note that while this is the best domestic price I am currently seeing on the 1030 Plus, r2-bike in Germany is selling it for 332 Euro [r2-bike.com]. At the current EUR/USD exchange rate and counting shipping that works out to $375 shipped to the USA if you want to go that route.

If anybody finds better deals on these please update this thread.

I'm not in the market for this, but I appreciate the effort that you put into this post.
Tell me you're a cycling noob without telling me you're a noob.
Bought the 530 refurb on the last deal and I'm a big fan. It records my routes with more accuracy than my iphone, and it automatically syncs to strava and in turn trailforks. All i have to do is press a button and bam it's recording. Reduces the battery drain on my phone. After using it a couple times i can safely say i feel no need to have a touch screen. However that might be a different scenario if i was road biking in unfamiliar territory. This thing definitely does the job though.

You can get a cheap bike GPS that doesn't have navigation for $40 (but does sync with strava and has ant+) , I have this one and have used it for over 1100 miles with no issues

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B098N7PQJP
would've seriously considered this if it had support for Strava live segments.

Noticed the one on ebay has 2 years warranty vs on GPScity website lists it as 1 year manufacture's warranty. Does anyone know the difference?

It's an Ebay thing. They provide an additional warranty on refurbished goods through Allstate. I bought one of the refurb Edge Explore's and got an email from Ebay detailing this.

Got mine yesterday and it looks brand new. Came with all accessories in a refurb box. Taking it for a ride this weekend. Setup was super fast as it migrated everything from my 520 plus and setting up my new 10 field screen was super simple. Bigger text/screen was definitely appreciated.

Note that this is much bigger than the 5 series computers so keep that in mind if you have any other accessories on the bike.

Anyone running into an issue updating the map to 2022.10? Garmin express says its available, but fails the install. I even put in a 32gb card....

Update. Ending up returning after calling Garmin. Defective unit

Received mine in and it's in like new condition again. All new accessories as well.
Updated the maps with Garmin Express and have taken it out on a short ride already with all going well.

Moving over my sensors to it were a breeze with the app.

Just ordered a Varia RTL515 radar taillight to use with it too

Can anyone of these be used for Motorcycling

When riding a motorcycle you need larger and brighter display so with a quick glance you can get the info. Bike computer display might be bright but size will distract your focus when in motorcycle. Garmin has a separate line of GPS devices specifically made for motorcyclists.
