I had this on several accounts but it did not trigger because I am on grandfathered $25 party pay plan. This only works for new customers or legacy customers who migrated to the more expensive plans. I would rather keep my grandfathered plan as long as they allow.

I am also on the grandfathered plan. Reading through the material they have on the new plans, I bet the switch people over in the new year. If they do it within 5 months, this is actually worth it.

In addition, this deal comes up quite often, incl. on other banks' cards, e.g. BoA. I need to stay with Visible for 3 mos for the iPhone deal, and 2 of those 3 mos will have cost me just $5 thanks to this offer.

According to what I was told Party Pay discount will be locked in as of 10/18 (based on the size of party on that day) and there is no official date when it would be discontinued. It's certainly not going away in January although it may not stay on forever. Other carriers like T-mobile and AT&T used to keep grandfathered plans for many years until discontinued.

It used to be 25 off 25. Now it is 25 of 30 so it's a slight downgrade...
