LHR = Low Hash Rate

This means the manufacturer developed it such that its processing power would be reduced if used for crypto-currency mining. If used for productivity/creative or gaming, it would still process at full power.

That's it in a nutshell. I recommend a quick web search if you would like to know more.

Some thoughts to share

I got this one from the costco deal ($1K)
Pro - It works well and pretty quite. Use standard ATX PSU
Cons - case is very cramped. Lack of ports on the back (only 1 audio jack, RJ port and 4 USB 2.0ports) and only 2 DDR4 slots.

Last week I also ordered the Dell XPS 8950 that was onsale for $1187.50. My blue Amex card got the $120 off $599 and $50 off $100 Dell order. Both coupons are stackable. Final price
difference was around $60 before tax.

I'll return the Lenovo one back to Costco.

The main difference between the Lenovo and Dell XPS are
- XPS has 4 DDR5 slots
- extra M.2 slots for storage
- more I/O ports on the back and SD connector in the front.
- Lenovo has 3060 12Gb, Dell has 3060 TI 8Gb
- Dell chasis is much easier to work with.
- Lenovo used Gen3 (Intel 670), Dell used Samsung Gen4 SSD

Cons - Dell used custom PSU (only 420watt).

You'd want a matched 32GB pair of DDR4 3200Mhz.

Latency isn't as important, but if you want the best they offer aim for CL14.

Side note:
The reason for pairing rather than just getting one stick of 32GB is because they provide more bandwidth in pairs. One stick ends up being slower than two.

This system currently has a pair of 8GB dimms installed and only two slots total.

Looks good but that is an awful case with little to no airflow, 100% it will overheat and cable management will be a mess. No doubt it will be difficult to modify or add anything
If it's what I think it is, the only fan in there is the cpu and gpu fan, nothing else.

It has two 92 mm case fans. It is quiet under normal load. You can hear it under heavy loading. Rtx 3060 is about 70C if it under 100% for a long time. Ventilation is not too bad at all. The power supply fan dose not spin most of the time, even under heavy load. Overall it is optimized quite well, performs very well with components that look very cheap. It is hard to upgrade except to swap memory or ssd.

That's an accurate summary.

This seems great for ppl who wanna do some video editing or are satisfied with a "dead-end" gaming system. If you want to build a beast or upgrade CPU/GPU, this is not the platform.

Thanks for pointing out the PCIe 4 vs 3 and for holidayoffers code! I ordered on Lenovo instead and got the 8% CB.

Quote from will403536 :
Better deal better specs from Lenovo direct!

You can avail yourself of 8% CB, ID.me, Amex 100 off 500, and split onto other CCs for even more CB.

AND the Lenovo direct model comes with a 1TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe vs this 512GB PCIe 3.0.

https://www.lenovo.com/us/en/p/de...90t00000us

Use codes BLACKFRIDAYGAME (-400), HOLIDAYOFFERS (-40)

Here is the personal price breakdown for myself:
1449.99
-400.00 BLACKFRIDAYGAME
-40.00 HOLIDAYOFFERS
-52.50 ID.me (Medical--military is even better)
-----------------------
957.49 Subtotal
74.21 CA Tax (7.75%)
------------------------
1031.70 billed to CCs (split)
-100.00 Amex 100 off 500
-7.50 Amex 1.5% CB (on 500.00)
-27.91 BoA 5.25% CB (on 531.70)
-76.60 Cashback site 8% (on 957.49)
------------------------------
819.69 Final Cost

Should have listened to you! I bought it and running it hard.. Holy cow this thing gets HOT. I think I have to return it - I'm afraid this thing is going to go up in flames

Sweet deal. I prefer home builds but couldn't build it myself for anywhere near this price. So, I jumped on it.

Mine arrived within a day. The unit is very compact, small signature and light weight. I state that from the old days of building rigs with double drives, GPU's, and other heavy components in tower cases. The MOBO is on the cheaper side with limited ports. Not much room for any add-ons and there are only the 2 USB 3.0 ports on the front. Still, its fast and handles just about anything I throw at it. If it's good enough for you as is configured - you're in business. My only addition will be add another SSD from stock. Got mine for occasional gaming and video editing and it appears perfect for both.

Do you think any aftre market cpu coolers would fit?

Compact, super quiet, works decently.

However:
- Using Bluetooth causes Wifi to drop out. I read this can happen due to frequency interference, etc. Maybe a router setting could fix it, but never had this issue with many many other tested devices.
- Actual performance soft-limited by Lenovo, hard-limited by stock cooler. CPU benchmarks ~50% of expected performance (Cinebench R23). Lenovo limits PL1 (low CPU power mode) to 55W, and PL2 (boost power mode) to 169W. Intel specifies 65W and 180W respectively. Even when I max out all available settings (using Intel XTU software), I can only achieve ~60-70% of the expected performance for a stock i7-12700.

It's a decent system, but desktops are like laptops these days--the specs are useless. i7 i5 i9999 they're all throttled by various mechanisms and cut-corners so you don't actually get the performance you think you're buying.
