I have this saw. I don't use a scroll saw much so I didn't want to put too much money into it and it works pretty good. I paid around $110 for it so $90 looks like a good price. Just get some quality blades that are appropriate for your material and it should be just fine.

I used this saw for a couple years before getting a better one. It's great for the price. Note that it does not take pinless blades, but you can get converters like these:
https://www.amazon.com/Scroll-Bla...155&sr=8-4

It's a pain to change if you are going to be doing that a lot, but then you may want a better saw to start with.

Can the included blades cut plastic? I want to cut new channel letters for a sign.

This is merica we have been importing cheap stuff for close to 50 years now... Only now people are getting pissed?
Merica has been pissed forever. Going to other countries and whining about how it's not merica is a favorite hobby. We love to buy made in merica, but will switch to the made in the another nation to save 5cents. If you point out this contradiction, we'll bomb your ***. Point is buy in merica is what everyone else should do…

Bet it can, as long as you do it at the slowest possible speed (400 strokes/min) and feed slowly. Otherwise, the plastic is prone to melting.

I have an older version of this same WEN saw, and successfully cut acrylic plastic sheets with it.

I really love Chinese products like Wen and Ryobi. Glad to see so many on FP all the time!
Ryobi is Japanese. Wen is American I believe.

Is this the same as the jigsaw?
A jigsaw is a handheld tool and the blade only connects on one end to the machine whereas a scroll saw is stationary and the blade connects to the machine on both ends
