So here's how my experience went:
I signed in to my Amex app, ordered via the link on the Offers page, did NOT get the email. Opened chat, was reassured credit will apply, just sometimes it takes a while.
Wine gets delivered, no credit, new chat. Escalated the issue for me, said they'll get back to me within 3-5 business days. I waited. Never heard back. So I opened chat again, was told the investigation had been closed and I'm not getting credit. Like WTF.
Called Amex, was told I would not receive credit because I shopped for other wines not listed on the page that the link opened. He basically said I could only shop for the wines that are on that page. If I clicked anywhere else to check other Reds, Whites, etc., he said that would void the offer. And because I added wines that were not on that initial page, he said I don't get credit. Incredible.
