CSR also provides the dining credit with Priority Pass. Amex Platinum doesn't. I have my wife as an authorized user (another 75 per year) and that grants us another PP membership. We effectively get 28 dollars per person dining credit for four people at many airport restaurants. Our home airport has a good restaurant and many bigger airports do too. With a family of four, that's $112 to eat, every time. What's great is you can use it at your departing and arriving airport too.
I have CSR, if I add my wife as an authorized user, she can have her own priority pass membership?
What about the TSA credit, is it one per account or she gets the credit too?
Thank you in advance. I have been trying to figure this out; even Chase customer support has not been helpful.
Just cancelled my account. Can't justify $550 per year even after $300 credits it was not worth it
It is a simple calculation to determine whether or not it is worth it. For me, with being able to transfer points to CSR from my other three chase CCs (Freedom, Freedom Unlimited and Business Ink), the 50% bonus on points used for travel far outweighs cash back and/or the $50 it costs me a year. We dont travel a lot, but when we do we are always using points for something (flights or hotel). Last time I checked I had booked about 10 RT flights and 30+ nights in hotels all with points.
My credit cards get used a lot, so I probably earn 8-10k points a month.
I have this card for a few years and like it. I originally got it for a 100,000 point sign up bonus. If you expect to use the $300 travel bonus, then the yearly fee is really more like $250. If you travel frequently and can take advantage of the priority pass lounge then you'll get a lot of value from that. There's also a lot of other little benefits (mostly related to travel).
Redeeming points for 1.5X on travel (and some other things) gives them pretty good value and you earn points pretty well (3X on dining and travel, plus 5-10X on travel and other stuff purchased through the Chase portal).
Personally, now that I have a toddler, I don't find myself using the lounge quite as frequently (or flying as much), so the effective $250 yearly fee is seeming less and less attractive. If you're on the fence about this one, get it for the year and see how you like it. The signup bonus is very generous and will easily pay for the yearly fee.

My wife and I both have/had Chase cards and we funneled all of the points into my CSR account. I've got ~250,000 points in there now, built up over a few years. I'm considering using them all before my card renews and then dropping the CSR until I requalify for an intro bonus. I don't think I'm getting $250 of value each year, since I'm not traveling as much now that I've got a toddler.
Product change your CSR to a Freedom Unlimited or Freedom Flex. Wait a month or so. Sign up for a new CSR. You can't get a bonus from product change or upgrade.
Also keep in mind that it has to be 48 months since you last received a bonus on a Sapphire card.
CC veterans, correct me if I'm wrong.
Do you just call for a product change? I've had a CSP for like 5+ years so I want to upgrade. How long do you think this deal will go for?

In my case it's worth it. I travel a lot. Free unlimited visit Priority Pass ($28 credit at participating restaurants, to get very specific there's a 24 hour cooldown between use at the same restaurant but if there is two restaurants you can fill up and go to both in the same day), free TSA Precheck or Global Entry ($100 credit every 4 years). Free Lyft Pink All Access for the first year, which includes unlimited 30 or 45 minute bike rides depending on city. You also get 10% cashback on Lyft rides and bike rides regardless if when that's over. DashPass is free. $5 DoorDash credit monthly which rolls up to $15 after 3 months since I prefer pickup and the free meal. You also get airline and hotel transfer ability. Best-in-class travel insurance that covers both delays and interruption. Car rental collision damage waiver which counts as Primary coverage up to $75,000 in damage or theft (you must decline the rental company's damage waiver).3
All in all pretty pleased but it is not for everyone. You need to travel a lot or dine out a lot for it to be sensible. However, if you have spend in other categories, you can pair it with an Chase Freedom Unlimited ($0 AF) since it gives 1.5% for all purchases. Or, Flex (0% AF) that awards 5% on rotating categories throughout the year.

Authorized user is $75, she will get a unique Priority Pass number and has the same access you do (Unlimited visits, up to 2 guests per cardholder, meaning if you both were at a lounge, you could have a total of four guests, two each). The card will be sent once you add her as the authorized user, but can take up to a month her to get it. Other credits are tied to the account as a whole. She can use them if they are available, but the $100 TSA Precheck/Global Entry credit and $300 travel credit do not double. In other words you could activate a Lyft Pink yearly membership, but only once per account. Same with the DashPass. The 10% Lyft cashback applies to both cards though, as they use the same number.
I have this card and have held it since its inception in 2017. If you travel a lot, the included PriorityPass and it's lounge access was worth the $550 annual fee, but it's not worth it today though!
PriorityPass LOST pretty much ALL airport lounges and restaurants in the USA sometime in 2021, so the loss of this valuable travel perk is a deal breaker given the hefty annual fee! Plan to cancel my card before the renewal in December!
Also, their internal travel site were you can redeem these points seems to have higher prices and limited selection compared to any identical search on Expedia, Priceline, etc. so expect Chase to milk you out of those points pretty quickly.

Do you mean during the pandemic when everything was closed?
A lot of people commenting about the PriorityPass as a huge perk. Please keep in mind that the PriorityPass is all but DEAD these days after they lost almost all airport lounges and restaurants in the USA sometime back in 2021.
But if you travel internationally a lot, you might still find a few lounges somewhere in Zimbabwe or Timbuktu
What are you smoking man? You have no idea what your talking about. PP is still very alive and a perk to many.

Because nearly all that stuff is open again.

Dozens of PP restaurants. And there's tons of lounges too. Including in the US.
