Keep in mind li-ion batteries cannot be charged below freezing, or around 32 deg F. So even if its's a bright sunny day, it won't charge, or damaged the battery is charged.

I bought this at the same price couple months back. It's bright for being a solar operated light. Battery will last roughly about 1.5 hours of constant use/on. I installed this on my back patio which is too far from any electrical outlet. For $14, I think it's worth it so far.

wondering if you can install a separate battery or replace it from the D1 with a higher capacity battery???? any thoughts?
I'm pretty you can but you would need to get an external battery holder

Weird comment to add to a discussion about this product. While I agree with the message, the fact is that Tesla has Made in China cars for China and rest of Asia. The ones sold in US are fully made in the US in factories in California and Texas. It is literally the most American-made car that anyone can buy. They are not even getting parts from China or using Mexico/Canada for assembly.

That said, agree with your point that it is stupid to live in 2022 and say that Chinese made stuff is crap. The iPhone, Air pods, etc. are made entirely in China, as an example, that every other person in the US adores.
The part about some batteries being made from China is true. CATL supplies a lot of batteries for Tesla.

I had a solar light from a different seller and brand go bad a couple of weeks into using and warranty replacement(positive experience with seller) light lasted just over a week more than the one year warranty expiration.

Expect this one to be put it and forget it type of product NOT!

Good point, but on the flip side no non lithium type batteries hold up in the cold weather either. So whats the solution?
110v when possible . . . run a line when not possible.

that is why I have a fuel car, I am old school, it will take a lot to stop me from using FF. I just can't stand the limitations/cost of solar alternative. I sand with Toyota on this, the 100% battery technology is just not ready for most items.

They're all made in China. For 13.99 it's not a bad price if you need one of these.
Or 2 as the list lists

pretty bad reviews as the solar panels dont charge unless in direct sunlight, which limits it for many in the winter

Agreed, we do not have the infrastructure to be 100%, in addtion all gasoline cars are ULEV or ZEV. This is becoming a compliance rather than whats best for everyone.
