Apparently a reseller but use the ebay code countdown22 bring it down below the msrp, so I still decide to share it.

I wouldn't say doesn't have a warranty, Nintendo can usually give you the warranty date, just say console was a gift, I've never had to send in a receipt for repairs with Nintendo under-warranty repairs.

I think that official policy is correct. Thanks for posting it. The Nintendo rep made it sound like as long as they could determine the Switch is genuine , they would cover it since they manufactured it. However I can see this getting into some grey area with the policy you posted. Worst case I guess you'll have to fly out to Japan and knock on MIyamoto's door.
