USB C charging on the 3 is an important difference.

Sure, I agree in a way .. but certainly a 1st world problem when I can bring my 6-inch micro-usb cable with me to charge a mouse, or my Kobo, or some friend's random device.

Is non-usb-c really all that much of a hardship on our lives?

(btw, I love that the EU just banned lightning and all else in favor of usb-c)

My old one maybe the first gen broke due to the left button. Say it is a common issue right? I bought the second one, 2s. I specifically like anywhere because it effectively works on any surface especially on glass desk and marble tables. I happened to have to use laptop on those two tables more often than my work desk. And the fact that I don't need to search for a magazine to run under the mouse is a huge saver. I also really like the feature on 2s that I can switch among 3 devices including Bluetooth pair. Also I am so used to the two left buttons go forward and backward. Any mouse without makes me feel so weird and productivity down a lot. I only need to charge it every a couple of months.

These any good for occasional amateur warzone online, if I do not want to invest in a dedicated gaming mouse?
These are pretty heavy. You can get a Logitech g305, razer orochi v2, or basilisk x hyperspeed. They are lighter and can find it cheaper than this when on sale.

I like the 2s better because of the sideways scrolling

The Microsoft comfort mouse 3000 was perfect for this, but I got tired of replacing it every two years when the feels-good-but-falls-apart rubber on the mouse wheel and the base disintegrated. Eventuality I replaced it with a Logitech m720, which is nice, but doesn't have the same buttons (the Microsoft mouse an extra button on *both* sides, not two buttons on one side). That was my favorite part, but I can use the m720 with multiple bt receivers (tablet, pc) so good enough I guess.

Can't imagine paying more than $20 for a traditional computer mouse, especially considering they're virtually the same functionality-wise, they all cause carpal tunnel syndrome and they all eventually develop double-clicking.

Best computer mouse out there. I have thrown so many away because they suck, are uncomfortable, laggy, something. This thing last forever on a charge, and when it dies, plug it in. It is SO friggin comfy. In case anybody's on the fence on the objective quality of the mouse itself. I have had it for several years now.

Best computer mouse out there. ....
No, this mouse is garbage. I have the same issue that everyone else is mentioning: the odd double-clicks on a single-click action, and the release of the click-hold during drag operations.

My first MX Anywhere 2S was terribly constructed. The rubberized strip on the right side came undone after three weeks... it just fell off the mouse until it fully peeled away. I got it replaced under warranty, but the Logitech staff were very reluctant to help. They only offered the replacement after I sent them three series of photos proving the defect.

Then, after the second mouse arrived, it exhibited the odd click issues I noted above after a few months. .Once it became unusable, I called Logitech again, but they wouldn't help me, saying the warranty was based on the first unit, not the replacement.

I decided to reuse the first mouse with the missing rubber strip until it too developed the same issue with double-clicks on a single-click, and the release of the click-hold.

I initially paid a premium for this mouse, which obviously wasn't worth it.

I got one. Bluetooth and 3 devices is convenient. But I don't like it overall. Compared to the original, plastic feels cheaper to me. Also tracking and scrolling, I feel, it was better on the original one. It's subjective, but I liked the replaceable batteries was better choice. A pair lasted me months.
Overall feels like a downgrade to me.

Man, am I glad that I take better care of my things than you... or that I got a good one. Maybe you and some others got bad ones. Mine was a gift, so I don't know how much it cost. In either case, it's generally best not to tell people they're wrong when they explain their own experiences. I'm sure you're much friendlier in person and your use of superlatives is limited to the appropriate situations. My experience is this mouse is great, and I don't baby it. I also don't go do a brake job and then use sensitive electronics without washing my hands. We all have our own perspectives and assessments of quality.

It's been documented across multiple forums that Logitech went cheap on the switch components of this mouse. Moderate usage (one post said it was only a thousand clicks) eventually wears a thin crease in the interior plastic, and that will produce the defects noted.
