Exactly! How do you like the fold 4 for reading? I definitely can see a use for that to combine my phone + ipad. How does it compare to the paperwhite in terms of fatigue and comfort for long reading sessions at home? Thanks
The paperwhite is my preferred device. I use that typically on the train to / from work. However in bed at night the fold works VERY well for reading.

This is the processor architecture that was cancelled by intel right after this came out. 1 Performance core and 4 efficiency cores. 8gb soldered ram. Hard pass, as much as I want it.

I haven't had a single phone that incorporated any kind of linkage that didn't break on me. They weren't fancy things that had screens that bent either. It was stuff where a keypad slide out from behind the screen and things like that. That Fold 4 of yours has only been out for 2 months. Come see me in a year or two after you've folded it and unfolded it a bunch in normal use.
I also had fold 3 and flip 3 for a year. No problems!

I think, like Duo and Duo2, it has a specific market. I can see this as a great device for obtaining signatures, completing checklists and drop menu database front end applications. The screw up is no LTE or 5G. That, too, can be managed with a dedicated wifi LTE/5G router mounted to your work vehicle (or mobile). You will get better reception with a dedicated vehicle mounted cellular access point anyway. This is much more of a business productivity device, one where software can readily fix most of the issues listed with the exception of the crap keyboard. Easy fix there too... bring a full size keyboard and keep it in your vehicle, or use voice to text. It looks like it can be a nice small device that will fit in scrub pockets. I absolutely can see this being used with windows 11 in a medical setting, especially home health.

I own this. it's much better once you upgrade to windows 11, but it's still sluggish like $100 chrombook and touch screen is not smooth. but form factor and screen is gorgeous.

Anyone successfully upgrade to windows 11?

And want to share how you did it?

I returned one unit because I got so frustrated with it. My second unit is doing the same thing.

it'll just randomly stop booting up. It's freezes.

i've been doing quite a bit of reading online.

I was hopeful someone here would've found an easy way to upgrade to windows 11 without causing all sorts of freezing issues.

I bought an E15 for $300. there's no way I'm paying this much for worse specs.

I figured out how to get windows 11 installed and for the unit to be stable

Do all the updates for the system you can out-of-the-box for windows 10

Then go to Microsoft and use the Windows 11 download tool and to do an installation of windows 11

As soon as Windows 11 is up and running, go to the update section for windows and pause all windows updates immediately and allow no updates to occur

Download the Intel driver assistant program directly from Intel's website. You can google the tool. Run that tool to update any drivers - specifically the intel video driver to V31 or higher

Now download the 'show and hide updates' tool from Microsoft. Run it, and hide any Intel video driver updates that Microsoft wants to install as these will be older than the one you just installed from Intel directly. Be sure to uncheck the box under advanced options where it tries to automatically fix issues. We don't want that. We just want to hide the video driver update. And that is what is causing the issues…at least it was for me and other people I read about online.

When you hide the intel video driver update that windows wants to install, it will no longer try to install that particular driver…. Hidden updates are blocked from installing 👍

So now you can go back to the regular Windows update program and unpause it and continue with regular Windows updates.

I did all of the remaining windows 11 updates of the system and it is running very well… seems stable.

The key is to prevent Microsoft/windows from installing any version 30 or older of the Intel video driver… and instead, you use the Intel driver support tool to get the latest intel video driver - version 31.

Hope this helps. Took me about 10 reinstall's to get it all figured out, and I hope I can save someone else some headaches
